Dear Bioware,
I beat Dragon Age last night while having a relationship with Morrigan, I love her strong personality and my ability to break her emotional lwall and get her to 'love' me even though she calls it a weakness.
Coming near the end I find her in my room before the final battle asking me to have a child with her to save my life and create a child with the power of an archdemon soul. Saying that it was her purpose from the beginning but made the mistake of getting too close to me. Making her decision to save me even better. Yet she needs to leave and never see me again or even the child, I at this point I actually felt a pain in my heart. No matter how much convincing I can do I am not able to convince her to stay or go with her on her journey. I can only imagine that this child will be the next 'hero' in a sequel. It's even the next day and i'm still left with the feeling in my heart that I can't see her. I choose the ending that I will leave on a journey and search for her hoping the ring she gave me truely works both ways.
After the ending and I go on my journey to find her I felt even more compelled after the game saying that I could feel the rings power and feel her regret and sadness. I only hope the sequel that I will not see for a couple years to come will include my choices in origins and I will be able to see Morrigan and my Character together. That is my only wish.
Thanks for reading. Here's hoping David Gaider reads this.

True enough Krenmu, true enough.
Although, it states in my ending that she is spoted with a child, it does not say the child looks like a demonspawn, I can only imagine it looks human.

Yea..I hated it, I spent all that time trying to break through to her. Just for her to all of a sudden break the news that she is leaving and never coming back. Thats like telling a kid there is no Santa clause..its evil.

Evil, but a great story and a good twist. The whole time you think she's trying to push you away because she doesn't want to accept love and then you figure out it's because she knows it can never last.

I always wish bioware games were more open ended like Oblivion/Fallout3. At least DA gives you a post campaign save game to continue DLC content, however that seems to not take into account that all your companions have left. I was excited for a moment thinking that the actions of ending would leave me to wander the game world as it last was, but with only the companions that had chosen to remain.
While there wouldnt be anything to do, if they added some simple respawning dungeons/zones and random encounters, or even random generated guild missions, then at least we could grind, shop and wander freely until either user content or DLC come out. It would also feel less abrupt than being returned to the menu. I feel the same at the ending of every Bioware RPG, after putting so much work into my character.

Even though it is a pain, It makes me like Bioware games even more.
The ability to make people feel emotion through a video game medium has been sought out for. Bioware is one of the only companies for me that can pull it off. I felt all sorts of emotion through this game, but this one hit me the hardest and I love them for it.
I think my wife is jealous of Morrigan :/

Just experienced this scenario myself. I'm not particulary happy about the result but damn that's good writing alright. With the results in hand, her behaviour makes sense now.

Not just the writing, but the facial expressions and voice acting bring this character to life.

I wonder, is flemeths tome in any way related to her decision? You do have the option of not giving it to her...

Don't you need to give this to her to start any romance? although i'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it will end up the same anyway.

Yeah, she mentions it's the reason Flemeth sent her in the first place, no matter what, she will give you the offer for the ritual, and leave after wards if you take it.
