Perhaps someone can help me with this. I wanted to paint a custom texture for my player character's face, but the system the character generation system uses for applying things like eyeshadow or what not are making it a bit complicated.
For a human female character, the obvious texture to edit I thought would be the file uh_hed_fema_0d.dds (I'm using the high res textures). However, when I tested to see if this was the right one I noticed that this texture seems to only affect the top half of the face (I tried editing the alpha map too, no go). I realize that other textures come into play for the blush, eyeshadow, and lip color, but this threw me off.
Could someone perhaps clear this up for me and perhaps give me an idea as to which files I should be editing?

That should be the correct file. Question is are you using this as your base skin texture?

Aha, thanks for confirmation-- got it working. I don't quite understand why, but if the file is in the Program Files\\Dragon Age\\....\\override folder it overwrites the eyeshadow texture... and if the file is placed in the My Documents\\...\\override folder it overwrites the base skin texture. I'm assuming it is standard to place files like these in the My Documents override folder?

Yes, the new texture should be in the my documents override folder.
