well,
like i wrote in the title. this is fairly annoyingsince i was looking forward to my next playthrough making use of the unlocks and i am already towards the end of the game.
so i reinstalled the game to the same folder, chose to keep all settings/saves during reinstall, however all unlocks along with achievements and screenshots disappeared, the savegames however remained.
help?
unlocked specialisations and achievements gone after reinstall

sounds like your main profile file didn't get kept. That's why I always back my stuff up before uninstalling/reinstalling.

I replaced the %BiowareDir%\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\profile.dap with an older backup, don't know which statistics are now messes up, but atleast Blood Mage is unlocked again

My question is this: If I start a new character, will I be able to get whatever achievements that did not carry over again?
I had the same problem and lost all of the my screenshots and quite a few achievements. Since my current save has "logged" that I have gathered these achievements I cannot get them again with the current character. Will creating a new character allow me to regain these lost achievements or am I out of luck?

Should work fine. There's a mod (pocket plane or something?) that can unlock all the specs for you too, if you want.
