so, i can find a few things to complain about with awakenings, but all in all its more dragon age and i think that anyone would be hard pressed to denounce dragon age as the greatest dark fantasy RPG EVER!!!

yeah i said it...

it is so poignant and rich that when i first played DAO within the 1st hour it dethroned all of my previous favorite RPGs and quickly became #1.

so as far as awakenings goes, was this the set up to whatever that lil piece of paper was in our boxes?

sentient/sapient darkspawn, a re-establishment of the grey wardens since they were wiped in DAO...

now for my complaints that ultimately mean nothing because i have so much fun playing this game. i wish other loose threads were tied up from origins, like past relationships at least mentioned, or an explanation of were your old group was, it felt a little shallow. i guess it doesnt matter because if im left wanting more story than the game is doing something right.

and i know some of you dont like the written endings as much as others, i do like them mostly because they can cover a broader area than any other format of wrapping the ending up.

so in my ending i did get a nod towards my brother Fergus being saved by nathaniel which was really cool, and a mention of me leaving vigil and adventuring with Leliana... but for the origin of my human, i really would have liked to learn about fergus' wereabouts a little more in both games... i just feel like this was a set up for things to come.

i kept expecting to learn that morrigan was somehow involved with the sapient darkspawn... i also have a crazy theory about duncan, that he is alive!!! after playing both games and all the DLC, i did not see his body. i think thats telling...

i know, its a simple minded explanation, but i did bury cailan and no one else...

anyways, im kinda just spaz writting right now, and im about to go play MORE DAA...

i would love to hear other peoples theories on where the franchise might go, your endings and other fun stuff.
