Did the Quarians always have weak immune systems before being ousted from their homeworld? I ask, because if we go by the canon, they've only been exiled to space for a little over 300 years. While they would be living in space in a potentially zero germ environment is one thing, they were also explorers (re: Geth Space Station was once a Quarian Space Station) and the one planet we visited to rescue Tali from, was once a Quarian settlement, so it's not like they didn't get around, both in space & on planets. It seems hard to me that unless they already had a very, very weak immune system that simply living a tad over 300 years in space (this assuming they lived 100% in their suits the entire time and never visited another species or planet) would weaken them to the point that they were forced to permanently live in their enviromental suits.
Need some clarification....

Yes. Tali specifically states that Quarian immune systems were weaker than most species.

Yeah, she talks about how their immune systems are more adaptive than resilient. I forget the exact dialogue now.

Their immune systems evolved to be weak as viruses were partially beneficial to the Quarians on their homeworld. Living in suits all the time doesn't exactly test one's immune system, which may have strengthened them.
