Still, Napoleon's actions are also relevant here - having an independent military force in your country isn't the most comforting thing and the wardens will constantly be in danger from governments that think they have too much influence as in the Ferelden situation where they were exiled.

I am glad for this chapter honestly. Too often do people make their characters make choices in fanfictions without any form of regret, and yet those kind of choices SHOULD bring nightmares.

Well, I wanted to address that everything she's done has had an impact on her.  She's not perfect, she's made mistakes and she has regrets about things that have happened, even if she can't see any other way they've turned out.

Like I mentioned, that wasn't where I was planning for the chapter to go.  It just kind of...happened.

Interesting....maybe that will change some of the opinions of your reviewers that Osric is a monster...he does treat her with respect even though she is for all intents and purposes his enemy.

I suppose it might be too much to hope a Warden Civil War doesn't came to pass?

LadyD, I would like a word with you about Osric. I have a fanfiction in the works, and although it is currently only at chapter 4 ( soon to be 5 ) I like to plan far ahead.

Yay another chapter! I'm glad that she did not accept his offer though hopefully Alistair will stay strong as well. Her reasoning makes sense to me really, but Alistair has not read those books so I'm hoping he just decides well.

Seriously though, I recently started and finished reading through all that's available and am definitely interested in seeing how it turns out. I particularly like how you portray the character of Osric, though I still hope he gets his butt kicked and Lya and Alistair have a happy ending.

Wonderful! and I agree. Even though it's horrible Lya has disappeared it's good to see he's dragging himself through it as good as he can.
