I click the home button and I get a page with some of my activity and a countdown time that has four days and such going down... what is that for?

Some kind of announcement, most likely. Have no real clue beyond that, and the Bioware folks ain't talking.

Probably a new game . If you visit Bioware site , you will see under "Bioware Games" -> "New Next Gen Game". Probably more info about it .

Or maybe Next Gen DA:O 2

If you can see the timer on any of BioWare's game site your account, characters, game saves and DLC for that game will be deleted when the timer expires. This is why some people can see it on the ME, DA and main BioWare sites but not on the SW:TOR site.

The only way to avoid this is to send Evil Chris Priestly a bag of Jelly Babies (pre-paying all tax and import duties).

I'm going to sit right here and stare at it until it finishes to make sure I don't miss anything. I may have gone slightly loopy by next Monday.

I want Bioware to make a RPG based around Pirates in a pirate setting. Then that would prove once and for all that Pirates>Ninjas

Seriously though, an RPG in a pirate setting would be perfect! I can just imagine how good it would be! Boarding ships! Stealing! Sword-Fighting! Tropical Islands! Treasure! Attacking Ports and turning it into a pirate port! ALL WITH THE BIOWARE STORY.

Pirates are already better than Ninjas when it comes to movies (thx solely to Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 2) but for games I think Ninjas are ahead by far...time to turn that around Bioware!!!

One can dream right?...you know that it would be the perfect fit for Bioware...

To the Pirate lover.

Sounds like you want a Monkey Island remake. Which by the way is coming.

About the countdown. I wonder. I had thought maybe it was to do with the Awakening release in Europe maybe?

That's not it, mine arrived last Friday.

Back to the more important issues, I'm not at all convinced about how ninjas could be considered superior to pirates.  They don't say "yarrr!" and drink enormous quantities of rum for a start.

I totally agree with you, Bioware would be well suited to making a game based around pirates and quite frankly I wouldnt be surprised if Bioware actually decides to start a new IP based around pirates.

Also if Bioware releases a game based on Pirates they would have add in some gay romance options as we all know how much pirates love sodomy, just look at the way Jack Sparrow constantly undresses Will with his eyes.

Hasnt it already been?

But as for the counter I seriously hope it is much more substantial than the Awakening Europe release.

Most speculation points towards some exciting news (like the launch of a new site?) about Star Wars: The Old Republic

I'm a Ninja and My gf's a Pirate...

She steals eveything, like my food, my games, my.... pride. <_<

But since I'm better suited to night missions I get it all back every night.... almost.

... that damed hook... it's so sharp.

Bajablast, you may want to be careful logging in there... one of the speculating sites also wrote that this site may have nothing to do with the countdown, and might as well be a hack site to steal passwords...

The timer may as well be the announcement of Bioware's "New Next Gen Game" (see the "Bioware Games" menu on www.bioware.com )

Yea I thought about that but there is a massive thread on the TOR website about it and a lot of people were saying the IP is safe and legit, so hopefully it's ok

Or maybe the timer will just continue running until it's at -2 days? :D

The moment it ends Xan will come out of your PC and tell you "We're all doomed" before the World is destroyed by the great blue screen of death...that my guess anyway. >>

You will have to wait until Monday to find out.

Locking since this board is for website issues. See the threads in the DA or ME2 boards to continue with the speculation. :)
