Sorry but BioWare may be great at alot of things, but certainly not Multiplayer. They can go experiment on another IP but not this one

I agree. I'm all for a spin-off that has co-op (playing co-op with a buddy has lead so some of the most fun moments I have ever had in my years of gaming), but competitive on the other hand... that I'm not so sure off...BioWare Jarrett wrote...
When you say multiplayer - I think there's a difference between competitive and co-op in terms of what might feel right for ME games.

Besides the multiplayer market is absolutely saturated at the moment, and any attempt by Bioware to pull the Mass Effect franchise into the whole mess most likely won't end well. There's just too much brand recognition to compete against; not to mention a **** load of sci-fi MMO's popping up.

personally though it still a really bad idea

After the trilogy which is a single player campaign shooter/rpg is finished, Bioware can go testing other grounds with ME.
I still wouldn't buy a ME multiplayer game though.

Bioware needs to step out of its comfort zone and consider multiplayer. I hope to see if SWTOR will be good

Haha. DA:O with MP. Certainly not something I would like.Pocketgb wrote...
I'd rather get multiplayer in DA:O first : (
Someone suggested a stand alone MP version of ME. That might work, but only if it was designed as MP from the ground up. Maybe co-op? But what about the story elements? Wouldn't people get bored? Or would you take those out? Wouldn't it be just another shooter?

DING DING DING we have a winnah. We're talking about an RPG developer here, folks. And even if it's in a separate, i.e. non-Shepard game, I'd still rather NOT see this IP ****d out into "Call of Duty with Heat Sinks", thank you very much.

I could see a squad based multiplayer co-op type of game (or MMO) where, using final fantasy XI as a template, soldier/commando is warrior, soldier/shock trooper is paladin, adept is black mage, sentinel is red mage, engineer is white mage, vanguard is dark knight, infiltrator is thief. A game that required cooperation, timing, teamwork and all that jazz.

IF, and only IF, The Old Republic gets rave reviews would I consider multiplayer for the ME universe.
Even if TOR is a hit, a ME MMO would have to wait until TOR ended as both are sci-fi oriented and would step on each others toes in the market.
