IF, and only IF, The Old Republic gets rave reviews would I consider multiplayer for the ME universe.

Even if TOR is a hit, a ME MMO would have to wait until TOR ended as both are sci-fi oriented and would step on each others toes in the market.

they make money either way i dont think they care where. I would not see them olding back for one game over the other. and if TOR is a sucess than that would mean it wouldnt be ending and they could still make another MMO and not worry cuse they would make money regardless.

I vote yes on a ME MMO. Also on co-op.

It does not make sense for one company to compete for customers with itself.
With me saying it doesn't make sense, will probably ensure EA does it.

I know that the general consensus on this is strongly in the negative. But instead of just giving you a NO, I'll just explain in my personal view why I wouldn't like to see a multiplayer in ME3 or any other ME game. Generally, when I look at some of the popular action games out there with a multiplayer attached to them, I see more resources, innovation, and general replayability being placed on multiplayer gameplay while campaigns suffer. Many game developers have the mentality that multiplayer modes are the only way the replay value of their games remain high. This means that the single player/co-op campaigns are formulaic, scripted, and generally not very innovative experiences.

Mass Effect and other similar games forgo multiplayer and put all their hopes on having a strong campaign with high replay value. Most important of which is having an open ended and well conceived storyline. When I look at some of the game series that I enjoy I notice a general decrease in single-player campaign game time.  Compare Modern Warfare 1 or Bad company 1 to their respective sequels.

Let me stop before I write a damn novel. But my point stands.

Who the Hell voted for "me2 DLC"? Wow....so you want them to rewrite the entire ME 2 game code to add in Multiplayer...in a DLC?

Yes, if it can be implemented in a good way. With EA at their side, this would certainly be feasible for BioWare without the singleplayer suffering for it: the new Medal of Honor's multiplayer is being developed by DICE (of Battlefield fame), while the main team (EA LA I think?) can fully focus on the campaign.
I would most certainly not object to DICE developing a decent multiplayer mode for Mass Effect 3.

Does no one agree with this? Seriously?

Seriously any game that has multiplayer slapped in because people think it should be there fails at it. I wouldn't even want co-op much less competitive multiplayer.

Yes,I strong agree with it but  does make sense to battle people on these boards on their opinion.I am not even worry about  their opinion,I have faith in the big business of EA to push for multiplayer and co-op or game in ME uni that features these things.

All i have to say in closing

WoW 11 million subs
CoD2 over 10 million copies sold

Implying infinity ward didn't get butt****ed by activision after it sold that well. I know what your going to say but biowares with ea. The guys at infinity ward also started Medal of Honor and got butt****ed by ea before it was doing half as well as mw2. EA's a corparation they're going to push this because it might make they're stocks go up. Which would make investors happy and if they have to **** over the guys at BW they will. I don't want to see that happen.

I don't see how Mass Effect could work multiplayer-wise unless you completely re-designed the combat system. So, my answer is no. It would be cool to take my custom Shepard to the multiplayer arena, but I'll be satisfied with just outstanding single-player games. Mass Effect is an RPG, first and foremost, and a shooter second.

No, just NO!

When I read that Ubisoft wanted to slap some "multiplayer" on Assassin's Creed I was so darn angry. Now they want to release some stupid spin-off title by the end of this year?

I loved Assassin's Creed 2 and would just like Ubisoft to focus all their attention on getting out Assassin's Creed 3 in a couple of years.

Well sorry for the tangent but as I said just nope and NEVER!

It does not make sense for one company to compete for customers with itself.
With me saying it doesn't make sense, will probably ensure EA does it.

One company with multiple MMO's well SoE comes to mind they have about 8 or 9 I think, they do a bundle where you pay 1 fee and can play any of those titles.

But back to Topic I had to vote no, i feel that the ME universe should be left single player

If you say so.
The only other MMO group I actually have experience with is NCsoft they have a bunch of MMOs going at the same time but none of them overlap each other genre-wise. City of Heroes and City of Villians overlap but they are one product under one sub.

Sony Online Entertainments titles include:

EverQuest® II, EverQuest®, Pirates of the Burning Sea™, PlanetSide®, Star Wars Galaxies™, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes™, EverQuest® Online Adventures™ and Free Realms

so 4 of their 8 titles overlap ganre-wise. is really a mute point. So I could see EA looking at dollar signs decide to do such a thing with SWTOR and a ME MMO.

They are all pretty different from one another genre-wise except the EQs(Which explains the term EverCrack).
ME and TOR at the same time would not be smart genre wise and as a company that doesn't have MMO experience.

You are absolutly correct TJ, it would not be smart for Bioware to do it genre wise, the only wildcard in this whole picture is EA, and while they have been doing good recently I expect them to do something stupid in the near future.

Honestly, if this would hit the market, I would look for a different Sci-Fi Game/Universe.

It would pretty much destroy every "atmosphere" aspect I had whilst playing the ME games.

You know, people are stupid. Sometimes I think, that the level of stupidity people have is especially high on MMORPG Servers. No, serious, If I ever see a screenshot with "darkkrogan3502" on it, I will stop playing ME.
