I hope you can help, I've been playing Mass Effect 1, and after completeing it a few times, I unlocked the skill for Hacking. I used this for a new Adept and it was working fine, but I think now that I've given talent points to every other skills, Hacking is no longer avaliable on the RB Wheel.
Can anyone help please? I love this game and would really like to transfer this Shep to ME2 eventually. :-)

This happened to me as well. I threw encryption on an adept and after i got my 9th skill my wheel removed my incinerate (whatever it's called in ME1) skill so i had to rely on my hotbar to use it. Apparently the game doesn't like you having 10 skills? (even though there's 10 slots on the pc version for skills it overlaps a skill after 9) Don't know if it's just for adept or not (I think engineer is the only other one that is able to make it to 10 known skills as well) Which is why i just stick weapons on those character types.

Yeah, this is a known power wheel bug. classes that come with lots of skills will have the bonus skill overwritten.
It's annoying within the context of ME1. As for transferring it to ME2, no need to worry. Your choice of a bonus skill and allocation of talent points make no difference to that game - aside from character creation and story decisions, only your Level and one or two Achievements have an effect.

I'm not so much concerned about importing the character. I'm sure that'll work out fine. It's just I've used up a lot of my squad points on hacking and now I can't hack those meddlesome Geth!
Is there a patch for the Xbox 360 version to remedy this?

Honestly if you're not on pc then it's probably better to give an engineer or adept a weapon skill or something that won't overlap. I find that an engineer with a shotgun is more useful than any biotic ability I could give him. Same for an adept with assault rifles. (Send guys into the air, melt them away while they're helpless)

I tried this too before using the hacking. That too didn't work as everytime I turned the wheel to Assault Rifle, it would say untrained.Doctor_Jackstraw wrote...
