How in the world did I miss that through 7 different playthroughs with repeated trips after each mission to get the different dialogue from Joker?

So I've been through this game 7 times, on my 8th right now. I do a lot of NG+ on insanity and all that good stuff, like a normal redblooded hooked on ME2 person does, however, literally about 5 minutes ago I noticed for the first time that I can close the shutters on the Normandy in the cockpit.
How in the world did I miss that through 7 different playthroughs with repeated trips after each mission to get the different dialogue from Joker?

I noticed that on about my 5th playthrough. I found it by accident clicking on the Codex thingie.

I understand where you're coming from, it wasn't until my 6th playthrough that I realized the Collectors were working for the Reapers. LOL J/K 
It was my third I think when I found the shutters too.

It took me a long time before I realized that Harbinger was actually a Reaper. I thought it was the collector general the whole time.
Needless to say harbinger's last line before the base explodes was very confusing. *facepalm*

Heh, I noticed it the first time but I thought it closed all the shutters on the ship as a way to mess with Samara for Renegades so I steered clear of it.

I've done 4 play-throughs and I still don't know anything about the story since I spacebar through all dialogue.

Haha, the first thing I did when I got the SR2 on my first playthrough was to go everywhere on the ship and click everything. My new toy, after all.

Def not his son, it's the same pic Kaidan-loving Sheps have on their desk. Maybe that's the real reason he won't tell FemShep where Kaidan is... He's jealous!

Bobo - It's to the right of Joker (when you're looking at him) and on the roof.
Pacifen - I found that completely by accident when I was playing with my gerbal (that sounded dirty) I kinda bumped up against the wall and sorta "fell" into the bathroom, and the toilet even flushes!

Haha I noticed the shutters towards the end of my first playthrough but I had to wait until my third to discover that personal bathroom.

Yes : the picture appears even if Kaidan is dead, even if he is alive, romanced or not. Strange. Disturbing.

The Garrus romance for FemSheps reveals the bathroom (after my second playthrough, where LI Thane had died, renegade FemShep immediately went for Garrus - nasty woman), before that I didn't know it existed.
As for not realizing it's not actually the Collector General possessing minions, that IMHO is hardly facepalm worthy. Even one of the loading screen texts states as fact that it's the general doing it.

Heres some things I've noticed recently about Mordin:
1) Mordin's head has seen all kinds of damage. The scars on his face and the cut off, "thing" on the top of his head, right side. Theres also a significant scar running down the top of his head that looks like he was either cut or a something really hot grazed him (bullet maybe?)
2) His armor is dirty and cracked in some places. The arm bracer he wears appear to be broken as well.
