Alright, I've only played through twice, could've missed it both times. When you go to the Citadel after completing the story line missions, Shepard seems to want to lead the fleet off to Ilos. This is what you've been uncovering, the location of the Conduit and the Mu relay.
When you get to the Council though, they say something along the lines of "...if Saren tries to attack the Citadel, as you believe..."
I don't follow where I got an inkling of this.
Citadel attack, am I missing something?

Shepard discovers it when she/he talks to the prothean Computer caled Vigil (or something along those lines.), it tells her/him of the repeating cycle that impends every few centuries and tells her/him how to stop the reapers.

Not what I meant. That happens after the council amasses a fleet to defend against Saren's attack. They know Saren and the Geth plan to attack the Citadel before you go to Ilos.
Something before that is supposed to tip Shepard and the Council off that there is a frontal assault in the works.

After finishing Virmire, Liara is mind meld with Shep, and they discover that Saren is planing to attack the Citadel.
Then Shep is talking with holo Council, next Joker is sending mission updates to them.
Then You are rushing to join with fleet reinforcement but Council grounds you, fat bastards
So they know before Ilos.

That must be the part I'm missing; I thought Virmire, with the help of the Cipher and the beacon on Eden Prime, only revealed the location of the Conduit. I'll watch closer this time. Thanks.
