I've played through as a mage twice now. I'm looking to make a warrior or rogue to play through DAO and DAA. I want to have usable fun abilities and mess peoples' faces up. Help me pick a class and where to go with the class!

It *really* depends on what you want. All the classes have "usable fun abilities". I've played all the way through Origins as a DW warrior (Starfang in one hand, Keening Blade in the other, Ch/Te) and as a backstabbing assassin/bard in addition to several mages. The DW warrior can auto-attack and slaughter, while the assassin-style means a lot more micromanagement.
There's more than one way to do it...so pick something that looks interesting and try it. If you've done two mage playthroughs, I assume you already know what things you like (or not) about the NPCs. For me, I got *really* tired of how long it takes for 2H to swing-and-miss (or swing-and-hit-already-dead-corpse) against most non-boss monsters...so I stopped even having a 2H in my party most of the time (and even respec'd Oghren once or twice).
Good luck.
