Eh, to me, they've always been tight lipped about things like this. Asari are all female, so they're techincally not lesbian. Zevran and Leilanna are technically bi-sexual, and not purely gay.



A full fleged conformation of such a thing is a win in my book.

Here are some other GLBT characters and couples from the game setting. Not all are stereotypical, so I think that helps ease the notion that Wade & Herren are a couple of artsy queens (which do exist IRL)

As for the others, I can't really argue.

If you're in a relationship with Zevran you can say, "A good friend, was he?" regarding Taliesen.
Zevran: He was. And more. But there is no need to relive the past. That is all behind me, now.

actually i think DA must have the highest gay/straight ratio of any game IP. prolly even more than the sims hahaha. i don't know why it should be necessary for bioware to declare the obvious. isn't it nicer to just have it and not being declared special?

I think all the old Saturday morning cartoons desensitized me to "gay mannerisms." I mean, after watching Bugs Bunny do all his things as a kid... nothing of that sort registers for me, too used to it.

It's not "something that gays do" -- but it's something that some gay people do. I didn't write Wade and Herren, but I know a couple who act in exactly the same way so it didn't strike me as being odd. I think there's room to depict relationships of several varieties, gay or straight, and in this case the fact that they're a couple isn't even the most important thing about them, really... hence why it wasn't singled out. It just is. I wouldn't have said anything, but since the question was asked, why not? It's not a wink wink nudge nudge situation, after all.
