Hey,

I did a search function, but I didn't find anything terribly enlightening on this topic. I've completed Awakening twice now - and not once have I found a piece of armour with a rune slot on it. Seriously, not a single one. I'm assuming this is a bug, and a rare one at that, since nobody else seems to have had any trouble. Has anybody else got this problem? And if so have they found anything that might help?

Awakening is so easy that I don't need runes on my armour anyway, but y'know - it'd be nice to have them.

No I have the runes - just no slots to put them in. The armors *do not* have any slots in.

I'd have to say that's a bug as well because a lot of armor have runs slots. Off the top of my head, I remember the Sentinel armor having slots, Hirol defense armor had slots, heck, I think even the Wade Superior Drakeskin armor I was wearing had slots on it if I remember correctly.

Not every armor has rune slots.

from the top of my head, all tier 7 and up should have rune slots. Or at least the 'unique' expensive ones, and armors like the Sentinel.

Well my sentinel armor certainly does not have any slots - and neither does any other armor I can find, so it is most definitely a bug. I wonder what's causing it... it seems to be rare, maybe a DLC incompatibility...

PC - I'm *assuming* its a problem with the imported character, possibly. I'm thinking of re-importing and seeing whether a new game will have slots on the armor.

Something weird with armour rrunes i noticed.......weapon runes can become armour runes without giving you any notice.

Why would i be trying to hit darkspawn with king cailans breastplate?

Why not? Anyway, I figured it out - it seems to be a mod incompatibility. I removed all my mods and emptied the override folder and I not have armour runes! Now it's just a matter of working out which one messed it up...

EDIT: Okay, bizarrely enough (and wholly unexpectedly), the problem was caused by the Hiphold mod. For some inexplicable reason, a mod that makes weapons appear at your sides causes all armour rune slots to vanish completely. The culprit is never who you expect, it seems.

I'm having the same problem. I have all the major armor sets and none have slots.

Oddly enough, I equipped immunity runes in my weapons and I do get the bonuses.

I deactivated all the custom mods (2 from Origins) but still no slots in any armor sets.

Do you have any file that starts with "BITM" in any override folder? There are several hundred myriads of folders to check.

YES, IT WORKS!

I had bitm_base.gda in \\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
I deactivated the chest and the respec mod from Origins using the game interface but apparently it wasn't enough.

Interestingly enough I could equip armor runes in weapons with that glitch and I cannot do that anymore now that it is fixed.

Much thanks!
