I felt like playing as a vanguard today, but I didn't feel like starting a new game.  I expored the galaxy on a beaten  game and found the '180 mechs' (MSV Este..vanico?) sidequest.  With my melee shoulders and melee upgrade, I could make the mechs explode and be disabled with 2 melee hits, even when they had full armor.  Also, charging and running to the shuttle can take less than 10 seconds.  What a nice playground.  It wasn't the intense 'visceral' combat I was looking for exactly, but yeah, it was alright.  Yup, that's all I have to say.

Or ... you could have area incinerate + area ai hack, and watch robot wars.
