Just a thought.. I thought the Quarian's ships are suppose to be really old right? But when you do Tali's loyalty mission and kill all the geth on one of their ships, it doesn't look that old does it? And the technology is pretty much the same. I know they might have done upgrades and they are constantly repairing their ships, but it seems to me that they should still look as old as they are in some places.

Yeah that is a bit absurd Cmdr. Though to be honest, isn't that law unconstitutional? Did not think that states could circumvent discrimination act.

Shrug.  I don't understand how anything like that could pass.  The current Goverenor, despite stating during his election that he wouldn't amend the bill that the two previous Governors accepted, went ahead and removed that part from it, making it legal again.

never working in Virgina. I can tell you that much. >.>

A friend told me he heard on NPR (though I've heard this nowhere else, so I don't know if he was just making it up) that Virginia is considering amending their state constitution to say that they do not honor the supremacy clause of the US constitution so that they don't have to implement the healthcare reform.

It seems pretty far fetched to me, but if a state's willing to do something as crazy as write a law that says they don't have to honor the law that stops them from writing that law that makes the law invalid.....well, I'm glad those legislators aren't in my state.

Tell your friend to read up on John C. Calhoun, and how far such shenannigans get before getting stomped on by the Supreme Court.

Quarians buy ships when the can, completely rebuild derelict hulks when they can't, and constantly retool and rebuild others on the fly.  The Alarai was likely a newer aquisition that had been kept up to date and in very good repair.

Yeah, I think it was specified when Admiral ... something ... vas Qwib Qwib mentions how difficult it is to switch out name registries for some of these purchased ships.  Granted, it's a setup for a silly word play joke, but it's not contradicted by anything else.

Regardless of your opinions on the healthcare bill, which is a debate I really don't want to start in this topic, states don't get to override the federal government's laws just because they don't like them. That's not how our government works.

The states can fight it in the courts and have the law/health care bill ruled unconstitutional.

There are something like 20 states working to stop the bill at a state-level, while others are trying to file lawsuits to the Supreme Court to call it unconstitutional.  I can understand it.  I personally don't have health insurance right now, and I think it's ridiculous that come 2014, if I still don't have any they can friggin' fine me for it.

I haven't read the whole bill(Hell, I don't even think the morons in DC have either), I just know that if you don't have health insurance come 2014, you get fined.  It's essentially fining poor people for being poor.  I don't know enough beyond that to debate anything other than that point.  Which, I cannot fathom anyone having a counterpoint to it anyway.  It's absurd.

Anyway!  This is why many states are filing lawsuits against the federal government over the bill.

The idea behind the bill is that such a fine is supposed to come hand in hand with ways to make it easier for people unable to afford insurance to get it, including for people who are really just unable to afford it the basic equivalent of food stamps, just health care insurance stamps.

The idea behind the fine is to penalize people who can afford insurance but don't buy it since they don't expect to need it, who will then become a burden on everybody else should it turn out later that they DO. It's not supposed to fine people who are just too poor to afford it.

That said, I like everybody getting health insurance, since I'd much rather the guy I'm sitting next to on the bus went to the doctor last week and got pills for whatever he was sick with instead of me getting it too. The health of one person can affect the health of everybody around them.

Even if that's the idea, that's not what it is in practice.  I understand how medical bills work, but it's absurd to charge people for not buying a product.  Needing auto-insurance is different, since you don't *have* to drive a car.  However, I *have* to exist.  Being fined because I exist and don't want to pay an extra $200-500 a month is absurd.

This is like all the new bank crap that just came out in response to other laws passed in the past year.  Things like being charged for *not* using your credit card, being fined for being the *recipient* of a rubber check, etc.

Supposedly there was some development (either thought, planning or actual development)for it but it was either cut out or shut down. That is where my comments come in.

No.

Until my orders are followed and this topic is removed, I will execute a Quarian every minute. The Tali-fanboys clearly won't be able to withstand that.

First up is the Quarian who was trying to steal from the good Volus gentleman.

Indeed.  I would say no, as her character is already established.  If they want to introduce new characters and give them whatever sexual preference, that's fine, but Tali, Jack, Miranda, Thane, Jacob, Garrus, Liara, Kaiden, and Ashley all have established characters.

I don't think anything in ME1 established her sexuality, at least no that I remember, and her joining dialog could refer to either sex for Shepard. So in theory yes; same sex for Tali.

Yes, let's just twist a character in a manner that would only be in the interests of a minority.

Yes that sounds like a sound, solid plan Image IPB

You are blinded and knocked to the ground by a flash of light centered on the Volus. You lift up your head only to hear "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL"... your shots do nothing against Harbringer-Volus.

I call BS.  It only takes 2 hits to drop a Harbinger-possessed minion with a sniper.  Garrus does it all the time in my playthroughs.  If anything, the Volus part detracts from your survivability, they're short, fat, and slow.  Very easy targets!

That Volus was the cousin of the biotic god. Combined with Harbringer he is unstoppable!

And off he goes to throw the council about like ragdolls with his biotic powers...

So... he's high on chemicals and could be defeated with a slight push.  You're not helping your case, bud.  Your head was kersploded like 3 posts ago. 8/
