I think to be fair to everyone a lot of the romances seem shallower than SOME other Bioware games. I think that is a function of how quickly the game progresses as within two or three conversations you go from "hey ur cool" to "man, I love you, Shepard". That sort of "fly by night syndrome" also seems to apply to the idea of friendships among the crew as if you aren't sleeping with them, conversation abruptly ends.

It was interesting to hear some of the cut lines in the OP's Youtube as some of them seemed quite good, whether or NOT it was regarding a female romance with Tali. Hopefully, with ME 3 being the last game, we see some more "movie-like" emotion as that will be the last time we see our favorite characters.

Hell, had I been bioware I so would have done it just for the sake of
doing it to see the reaction in the fanbase.

As one of my favorite yu-gi-oh abridged quotes....

"Screw the rules, I have money!"

BioWare is mean. They make Tali lead you
on with the same dialogue from the male Shep flirting, and then just
stops. Nothing, suddenly the engines are the most important thing in the

Frak you Bioware. :'(

Well to be honest, I am guessing they shelfed the femshep-tali till ME3 comes out. It's not like changing her sexuality means anything since only one shepard exists in that game universe, it's not like suddenly making tali bi-sexual is a sudden turn around either, since it's not like she talks about males or anything during either game. So techinally as far as female sheppards go, they are in the dark about what she is attracted to.

Found out one of my female friends was an lesbian about 3 months ago and I've known her for 11 years. To be honest, i could see the tali scene being more of an rip off of thane where he just blurts it out.

just my two cents on the subject.

O and fox news can be damned. To be honest, I don't even watch the news anymore.

Honestly, I wouldn't care.  If BioWare had put it in the game, then it would have been canon, that would be the character, and there wouldn't be a problem.  What annoys me are all the people who don't just want more options in the game for homosexual relationships, but for BioWare to completely derail established characters for the sake of seeing them get it on with a different bundle of polygons.

And yes, it's character derailment.  You can entertain all the fantasies you want about how all the LIs are secret bisexuals who just can't admit to themselves how they feel about SameGenderShep, and that they'll totally come around by ME3, but that doesn't make the fantasies true.  It's just sort of an unwritten rule that if a character is available as an LI, but only for the opposite gender, then as far as BioWare and canon are concerned, they're purely heterosexual.

Everything else aside, the Tali/FemShep train has sailed. It won't be in 3.

I believe Tali could be convincingly written as attracted to FemShep. She's young and fairly sheltered, and I doubt she's really given much thought as to her preferences at this point. I really think any LI could be written as anything. Thane as exclusively attracted to men would take some convincing, though.

So would I.  My femshep would toss Kaiden to the curb for Tali.

Screw waiting for ME3, TalixFemshep romance should be a DLC for ME2. Cause if it's only in ME3, it wouldn't be very consistent with how she acted towards Femsheps in ME2.

if it shows up in ME3 it will be even more contrived than the Tali-male shep romance in ME2

I figure the primary reason why you'll never see either a Tali relationship with a FemShep (or any Quarian in a same-sex relationship for that matter) is their own canon: Quarians are too few in numbers to afford to do anything other than heterosexual activities and even that act can be dangerous for the species.

So, sorry folks, you're going to have to stick to Asari if you want some girl on girl action. Or if you're wanting some Grunt action, I believe there's some Morrigan & Sten dialogue I should introduce you to, so you'd get an idea of what a FemShep would need for that relationship.

I don't know about you, but I would absolutely love it if in the third Mass Effect you could start a relationship with Tali as female Shepard.  Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

No. Waste of resources. Plus, GASP! Tali may not be into women. Seriously, this thread needs to die.

As far as I can see, there are only three reasons people push for universal BI-curious LI's.

1: You are yourself gay or bisexual, and wish to convey as much with your character. If so, more power to you. Justified argument.

2: You prefer playing as a specific gender, but still want to romance a specific character. Just plain selfish imo.

3: ZOMG BEWB ON BEWB ACTION!!!!

As of Ascension, quarians actually can no longer support their own population. Gay relationships would probably be a boon for them right now since it means fewer kids. And I'd bet that most children come about as a product of artificial insemination anyway, to minimize dangers. As long as you're female (and everything works), you can have kids, regardless of your sexual orientation.

I am 2 and 3 for certain.  Seriously, I do not understand the problem here.  Tali&Femshep = perfect together.

I wish there had been Tali/femShep (or Thane/maleShep, although personally I probably would have made Garrus bi over Thane if I was queen of the world and all that) in ME2. I think a possibility existed in that if either character had been bisexual in ME2, it wouldn't have caused a blow-out or seemed totally out of character. I regret the whole 'there is no lesbian romance in ME1!' words spoken and the fact that there is no romance for a male character who prefers men. I hope things are different in ME3.

But I don't think it's a giant conspiracy, I don't think America is at fault, I don't think EA is at fault (seriously, did anyone play DAO? Or the Sims, for that matter?), I don't think console gamers are at fault. I don't think Tali or another should suddenly in ME3 realize that they were bi all along (not that I don't think a good storyline could be done with a character thinking themselves straight and then realizing they like the same gender as well- it certainly happens all the time in real life and I'm sure Bioware could pull it off, I just don't see it as 'necessary'). I just... these arguments seem so strange. Perspective, anywhere?

Doesn't change the fact that it simply won't happen in game.  Try as people might, you will almost certainly never see any FemShep action with Tali.  You might get the option with other females in ME3, but not with Tali.  Besides, has her character ever even insinuated that her wagon wheel might roll both ways?  No?  Didn't think so.

Ahh...you do know that Tali can't even reproduce with a ManShep, right?
