Except he was teasing Luke.
Watch the scene, Luke asks what Han thinks of her, he says he's trying not to, Luke says "good", Han notices says that line and Luke says no which makes Han laugh.
I've never interpreted that scene that way. It seemed pretty clear to me that Han had the hots for her.

I'd like to be able to talk to my squadmates without them wanting to have sex with Shepard. If more character suddenly become LI for both genders, that's not going to happen.
This would be wonderful. People that actually care to talk if you don't want to bed 'em! I don't have a problem with bedding them too, but I think that should be a completely unique set of dialogue for that character if you pursue it instead of the *only* set of dialogue.

Original ideas for story plots seldom play out unaltered; as cool as it would have been to have had the geth rebuild Shepard, it would be difficult to make that fit for the entire course of the game. ME2's storyline had to explain the difference between the "heretics" and the original geth, since there had been no clear difference betore, while Cerberus was already a known quantity within the MEverse.
It wouldn't be hard. All you have to do is say that some geth broke off from the main geth collective after Sovereign was defeated. The details of that aren't terribly important. Personally I like the idea that the geth go out to assassinate Shepard, succeed, and then scan his omni-tool, whereupon they realize what the Reapers really had planned for them and so they decided to switch sides.
Then again, I'd just as soon NOT kill Shepard off at the begining of ME2. If they'd planned this trilogy out beforehand they could have just let Shepard die at the end of ME1 instead of having him triumphantly spring from the rubble... only to get killed a month later.

IMO that is because that is what a lot of straight males seem to like and it is a male dominated society so it is therefore tolerated. So yeah you could make the argument that it is sexist I suppose.Lemonwizard wrote...
That and I'm also incredibly tired of media only showing homosexuality or bisexuality from females. It's sexist, and what with Liara/the Asari in general there's already plenty of that in ME already. If any same sex romance is added into Mass Effect it should really be with a male character.

I'm kinda for same-sex romances in ME universe but not if it changes current characters sexuality. Straight people do exist, ie ones that don't suddenly start liking the opposite sex. It would be totally out of character if Tali was suddenly bi. Now if we got a new character in ME3 who was gay or bi that would be fine.
Tali is not bi and never will be.
Tali is very young and hasn't really had much experience in the world especially when it comes to love or sex. For younger girls it's common to have interest in the same sex, does that lead every woman to become bisexual or a lesbian? No.
Think of it this way. Thirty to forty years ago (in America) to be an openly gay or lesbian was frowned upon, looked down on. Most men and women kept it a secret or were "in the closet" and went on to get married and have kids. It was only later down the road that they actually admit it to themselves and everyone else that they were living a lie and essentially "came out." Of course that's not exactly how everyone did it, only an example.
Now look at our culture today. Though it isn't completely accepted in society and it still has a bit of a stigma attached to it, but nowhere near how it use to be, people have become more tolerant and free minded. It's been a pretty rapid evolution of thought for homosexuality. Imagine how it would be by the time when Mass Effect is suppose to take place, especially with races like the Asari that look female by shape but only have one sex.
Like I say: I like to think of myself as someone who doesn't deny love just because
of a minor detail like what sex a person is. I'm a lover of all
humanity, no matter what form.

It's still technically 'looked down on', it's just not as often as it was before. Heck, barely a month ago Virginia just made it legal for employers to descriminate based on sexual preference. Before that, New York, of all states, made gay marriage illegal.
But anyway, you're welcome to share Miss Chamber's stance on love and romance, however, you need to accept that it's still a minority that share it. People are born the way they're born, and that includes what they're attracted to. Everything from the normal, Male-Female relationships to the Same-Sex ones, all the way down to the fetishists that like to bang dogs. You can't help what you're attracted to, it's just only completely acceptible for the normal hetero relationships, with the homosexual ones slowly becoming more tolerated. There are many places that consider homosexuality to be just as taboo as beastiality or pedophilia.
Edit: I, personally, have no problem with it. I just wish those that are of that preference would stop insisting that *everyone* is that way. Like the individual earlier stating the population was like 10% gay, 80% up in the air, and 10% straight. Never heard anything more absurd in my life that didn't come out of a religion.

I do accept that it is still the minority, I'm just trying to point out the progress that's been made already and what the view that far into the future might look like when it comes to this subject. Of course it's acceptable for there to be heterosexual relationships, that's the main way humanity will continue to be here generations from now.
I am not suggesting that everyone should be that way, all that I'm saying is that it would be nice for people to have an open mind and realize that people who are gay/lesbian/bisexual/whatever, that it isn't the end of the world. It's completely natural and it happens in nature all the time and for people to look down on other people of that preference is hurtfull.
Oh yeah, just want to say I've thought that way, waay before Miss Chamber's
