Obviously we all loved the emotial big boom in the beging. Was really cool to see that kinda thing but we all probably agree that we don't want shepard to die again.

So the first question is do you just want to keep you're current level for mass effect 3 or do you want it to be wiped again by some event in game and start fresh.

if you choose the wipe option how .

Hopefully you won't die your face will just get badly burned so you can go through that design process again.

As for starting at the same level again? Some big design issues with that.

You're right Boozer... he should be yelling, "AH, YES, TEABAGGING... THE PRACTICE OF SMACKING ONES BALLS AGAINST SOMEONE'S FACE... DISMISS THIS!". Only an immature fool would forget to mock the councilor's own words while teabgging him relentlessly.

Not only is that not worthy but it is homosexual and as bioware has said shepard is a pre defined character and is not gay.

Really is that what you want to do? I just want him cleaning toilets or something he really dosen't need to be involved in decisons or talking at all outside of military conversations.

Now stop being an ass and tell me how you want the game to open now how you want it to end.

however great the teabagging would be it won't happen, perhaps we could hold the turian down and wet willy him with all 4 fingers of one hand. " ah yes.....teabagging.....we have dismissed that...."

but seriously, i think depending on your options at the end you're either gonna be on the receiving end of TIM's fury or the Alliance's fury. if tim is annoyed kelly sabotages the ship. if it's the alliance kaiden/ashley is sent to take you and the new normandy out.

With the LI or something, shortly after ME2.

Something engaging and emotional, ur LI being captured maybe? Or it could defult to Tali, who seems to be the only character not bad ass enough to be captured. I assume this would ge people hooked into the game from the start. Either this or a colony is attacked by the reapers, but it would have to be well done, I really didn't feel sad about the colonists on any of the colector worlds

needs to be something that grabs you and throws you headlong into it. maybe a betrayal, or a trial, or something cool. and maybe that could take place mid-way through the game, but be placed at the beginning, and then you flashback to play through the parts leading up to it.

i know thats not really ME's narrative style at all, but i still think it would be cool.

Intro: Deep Space Observation Facility Hubble IV, on the rim of the galaxy. Salarian astronomer examines a few galaxies far, far away. Suddenly something blocks his view. He changes focus and sees - Reapers. Scores of them, and incoming. Time for some famous last lines ("Game over, man! Game over!" and "Open a channel to the Citadel! They must learn of this!").

Switch: the Citadel. Salarian Council member: "Fellow members of the Council - we have a problem. Get me Shepard. Fast!"

I think someone is forgetting the laws of physics. Light travels at a set speed, a

speed which the reapers are traveling faster than. There would be no warning.

I defs thing either a capture of a squadmate or Betrayal would work best

I'd say much less than your English.

Oh yes, please.  Kill the protagonist again.  While we're at it, throw in some memory loss, cloning, discovery that you are a clone/Reaper, Metroid style downgrading, or better yet, it was all a dream.

It should start with the Reapers activating the ace up their sleeve for getting back into the galaxy and destroying one of the main species' homeworlds. I personally would like to see the asari homeworld Thessia in flames and billions of them killed and the rest indoctrinated into becoming a Reaper horde, that should provoke an emotional response in most players and sufficiently establish a sense of urgency.

Something tied in with the Reapers activating in dark space, maybe. Most likely it won't be too big of a time gap.

Shepard reads Descartes for the first time & is troubled by the dreaming argument. In Mass Effect 3 you play as Commander Shepard as he tries to prove that he's not dreaming & that the universe does exist. Upon disproving the argument, the game ends with a visual of incoming Reapers.

No doubt. But I think if the reapers make it into the galaxy then everyones screwed. Shepard needs time to work his magic.

I'd be surprised if they didn't come up with some kind of plot element that resets Shep's skills and levels again, for the new players.

Remember, there'll be people coming in to here that haven't played ME1 or ME2. And even if you don't care about them, BioWare/EA does.

Perhaps. Still, I think a homeworld being reaped by Reapers could make for an absolutely bone-chilling final location for the trilogy.

Cities torn apart and in flames, husks and indoctrinated servants everywhere, and a sky blackened by hundreds of thousands of Reapers. Nice atmosphere!

If Shepard dies again, I am done.  I LOATHE resurrections in any RPG I play.  If the character cannot cut the mustard, scrap it and get another.  Resurrection is old hat no matter how cleverly it is written in.

I wish Bioware (since they seem okay with retcons ala 'thermal clips') would retcon the 'death' part and just make it that Shepard was comatose, not actually dead.
