it's in her dialogue, dude. Unless you think she's lying, of course.

The ONLY thing she says that could be implied as "attraction from the start" is her line that goes:
"Shepard, I watched you tear into the Thorian like a force of nature, nothing could stop you.  I saw your face as Chief Williams was killed when you left her on Virmire.  I watched you stand strong against everything the galaxy threw at you and...I never imagined you'd see past this."

All that reveals is that she admires you and/or is attracted to you as she came to know Shepard during the course of Mass Effect 1.  Nothing she says even hints that she was attracted to you from the start, even her dialogue at the start of Mass Effect 2.

Well, two things here - how are you definine "attracted from the start"?  I don't think anyone's saying Tali fell head over heels in love with Shepard from the moment he rescued her in ME - Love doesn't work that way. You yourself said it - attracted to Shepard as she came to know him during the course of ME1, which is generally what people mean when they talk about Tali being attractted to Shepard from the start.

And...

"What could I possibly be suggesting? I mean, a young woman gets rescued by a dashing commander who lets her join his crew and then goes off to save the galaxy? How could she possibly develop any kind of interest in him?"

The interest on Tali's part most definitely started in Mass Effect 1. She didn't show it, it may not have been in the game, but that line very strongly implies that Tali had feelings for Shep in ME1, even if she never acted on them.

I see what you are saying.  However, it seems really cheap.  And to use that as a reason for why Tali is the best Li doesn't do it for me.  There are three other characters who showed interest and attraction to Shepard from the start and they are Kaiden, Ashley, or Liara.

Oh yeah, I totally agree that it doesn't make her the best LI. I was never arguing that point, just that she does actually admit, in ME2 that she had feelings in ME1.

That's really all I was trying to say, dude

I like Tali for other reasons, as previously stated - But really, I pretty much like all of the romances. They're unique and in-character in their own way, all of them.

I like Ashley and Miranda equally as romance options. They strike me as foils to each other. Ashley is humble, blunt, and caring. Miranda is more arrogant, deceptive, and unsympathetic. I chose Ashley in ME1 and Miranda in ME2. I'm curious to see how this plays out in the third game. ^_^

Tali.
The fact that she was attracted to you from the start, but selflessly put her own feelings aside as she didn't want to burden you with the realities of quarian physical relationship difficulties - although some of this also stemmed from the fact that quarians are generally shunned, and she was a self-conscious about this. She's loyal to you; willing to leave the flotilla for you, and even AFTER you confess that you're interested in her too, she's still willing for you to find someone else if you need a physical relationship (so she has your best interests at heart).
Plus she's awkward in a cute way and has a hot accent ;)

This.

Jacob.

...

*Mouth twitches, covers with hand*

*Bursts out laughing*

Ahahaha, yeah, no. I can't keep a straight face and say that. Tried to give him a pity vote, though.

I can, very easily in fact.

I don't find Miranda all that attractive, ESPECIALLY with her ridiculously promiscious suit.  :?
As I've said before, subtlty is underrated.

Well, Miranda is Latin for "worthy of admiration", so I think that's a fitting name given her choice of...wardrobe.

to me...it was the face.  I thought it was poorly done and didn't do justice to the actress they modeled her on.  Other than that though she was okay.  Her romance was also poorly written in my opinion too.

Miranda:"I am sad because daddy made me perfect and people only like me for my body"
Shepard:"can't I admire your body?"
Miranda: "of course you can...let's get it on"

Haha, icwatudidthar Bioware.

Regardless, if she was dressed more modestly and if Bioware improved her facial animation she'd be 10x more attractive in my eyes.

Yeah, I agree. There's just nothing really left to the imagination. Now, if they had designed her like Bastila from Kotor... Let's just say hell yeah! Image IPB

I like Thane for femShep because he's very serious and romantic, and really, it all just comes down to the player's choice. I didn't really want a casual love interest, and Thane seems to appreciate every moment. Probably because he's dying. Then I could state the obvious: he's handsome and graceful in battle.

Never before has the screen been so electrified.
