Tali's 24, Shepard's 29. That's 5 years and the IMO the gap will mean less and less as time goes on. 5 years isn't too much. That's just my opinion though.imported_beer wrote...
I adore Tali but never pursue her because I play Male Shep as in his mid to late thirties and she seems a tad young for him.
31 32ish minus two dead years *shurgs* but the body could still age during that time who knows how that may really work dont know anyone thats been dead and come back to ask them
throwing age out the window for a second, Shepards lived i life time of events before ME1 as a solider and such depending on his backround
Talis first time off the fleet is ME1 so if he means young in a sense of life experience Shepard is miles ahead

There is zero proof that she was attracted to Shep from the start especially, as you point out, if she doesn't show it so the point is invalid.
Actually she does when she talks about the events that happened in ME1 and says "I watched you for so long and never thought you'd see past this" sounds like she's been into you for a while, just sayin
Exactly. The whole conversation explains it even better. Shepard asks her what she really wants herself and Tali goes on about how she has watched Shepard all these time, even as early as Ferros and then finish it with "I watched you for so long and never thought you'd see past... this". The only reasonable interpreation of this is that Tali is attracted to Shepard already in ME1, but is too shy/awkward to do anything about it and she is convinced Shepard wouldn't be interested in her anyway, because she is confined to her suit.
/Edit. The whole "I watched you for so long" conversation is the most beautiful part of the whole romance imo, and you can actually miss it, because it's optional.
I was really shocked in that scene. Not only is one of the few scenes in ME2 that reference what you did in ME1 in an awesome way but it also add just A LOT to Tali as a character that makes the romance awesome for those who like and appreciate the character. And it's difficult to add something more to Tali as a character after her loyalty mission (one of the best IMO).
I think we should give Liz Sroka a lot of merit from this. The same lines voiced by another person would feel shallow.
Anyway, I like quarians in general: their culture, their social and history dilemmas and problems, and their relation to the Geth is very deep and really interesting for me. But I like Tali not only because she's a quarian, but because she's somehow a character I just want to know more about: what she thinks, how she moves, how she speaks. I like her since ME1, and I was amazed in ME2 because of her, how she "evolved" as a person.
Buh, and her romance was just incredible for me.

i dont see it as a age thing i see it as a experience thing your right age becomes less and less important and if you think Shpeards 29 and Talis 24 i dont think that makes a diff but Tali's still got alot to see outside the fleet that shows high in ME1 in some of the things she says and i could see a change in that in ME2 but shell always be stuck to my Shepard as the person that needs the most protecting
which is kind of true cause how many times does Shepard save her

I say Miranda for a few reasons some i go through fast
Being a strong women, smart, knows how to get what she wants, able to give be open and give it how she sees it, doesnt need Shepard in her life but if go the romance way clear wants Shepard in her life, i could get more but i think that good for now
oh and a point i found funny when i heard someone say it today shes the only female romance character that you never rescue
being voiced by Yvonne Straohski in the nice aussie voice didnt hurt either( love the actresses does a great job on the show Chuck)

My LI is clearly the best.
1: Never says a single word to Shepard
2: Is always there for Shepard, no matter how bad the odds are.
3: Doesn't demand Shepard run errands like treason trials, stopping assassinations and other crap.
4: Never cries, EVER.
5: BOOM - HEADSHOT
I'm trying to figure out if we have the same LI.
Yeah, me too. I am considering making a move...
Don't be shy! Express your love for her! She will always be there for you, unless Bioware comes up with a meaner model in ME3, then I'm putting her on the wall next to my fuzzy handcuffs.
What?

The significant bit isn't that his body has aged, but that his mind hasn't. He doesn't have 7 years more experience than tali, he has 5.

Except she has like 6 things to tell you in ME2. That's including pre-loyalty mission and post-loyalty mission. Just like Garrus, the gave her very little actual dialog.Raptr569 wrote...
