I'm downloading ME1 on Steam right now. I played ME2 already and watched most of the main story cutscenes for ME1 on Youtube. Is there anything I should know about the controls or anything I might miss? Does anyone know if the Steam version is already patched and comes with the DLC?
Anything I should know?

You have less direct squad control in ME1 - the D-pad commands are generic instead of context sensitive. Button assignments are different - ME2 provides more power mapping to the bumpers and such. You'll pause the game with the power wheel instead of using a d-pad or bumper click to launch a power.
You'll spend a lot of time in the Mako tank IF you're a completionist. Some of the terrain can be... challenging but will usually not be an obstacle if you choose the right path.
You'll spend a LOT of time managing inventory - installing upgrades to weapons and swapping out equipment for each character. At first you will struggle to have enough cash to buy upgraded weapons, then later you will be furiously selling off extras or converting to omni-gel to avoid getting constantly warned that you are reaching the inventory limit.
No paragon/renegade interupts, but conversation options behave the same otherwise.
Enjoy!

You won't have heavy weapons. You'll have grenades, though. They are a precious resource for some missions and not always easily replaced.
I believe the key mappings for ME1 are completely different from ME2, but I have the Xbox version and am only going on what I think I've read elsewhere.

Other info:
- Steam version comes fully patched.
- No DLC is installed.
- Bring Down the Sky is free. Definitely get it.
- Pinnacle Station costs $5, not really worth it.
- If you don't have a Creative XFi soundcard, you won't have surround sound and you'll likely have to tweak your settings for sound to work properly
- Don't map your interaction button to the Enter key or you won't be able to talk to Kaiden or Liara on the ship
- You can tweak your .ini files to make the game run well and look good by going Here

Some people think the game is kinda slow at the beginning. If you find yourself thinking this stick it out past the citadel. It picks up after that. Also talk to npcs (both party and non party) you can pick up some side quests that way.
