I think the first pic looks to human and i got the impression she got a bigger nose than that, the second picture looks like a night elf.
too human is good, makes it alot more fascinating. the asari appear to be using mind tricks on us to make them look appealing so the quarians would be fine if they were human-like. anyway quarians are supposed to look exactly like humans (counting out the hot-hips and chicken legs).

That thing with asari is just a joke, they look like that. And quarians are very humanoid but that face is to human like, they wont make her look like a human, if they where to ever give her a face.

Besides, if the face is too human, then that only proves the lack of creativity on alien life.

But with that, there are the glowing eyes, slightly more apart than a human, the longer neck, smaller head, curved lower leg (not chicken leg but whatever), and of course the 3 fingers.
So they have already more alien features than the asari, so making them totally alien is not necessary at all (and if you take the drell, they are definitely reptile, but still, very humanoid).
(Not to mention that in the romance scene with Garrus, its clear that no kissing or any "human touch" is possible, while with Tali, Shepard is clearly pleased, and the way Tali jumps on him certainly not just a forehead touch
Whatever will bioware decide about the quarians look, half of the fandom will be dissapointed. The Tali fans would hate an "ugly", totally alien face, those who hate the Tali-fans and want to laugh at them will hate a nice "space elf" humanoid one.
I think (and that's my opinion only) the safest and maybe most easy way to make a not too pretty and alien enough but still humanoid race. So none of the extremist get what they wanted but overall it's more acceptable than something full alien like a turian. (no I have no prob with them just an example

I haven't seen your picture or your evidence but I can tell from your first post alone that you're asking for Grunt to stand on your head.crazyconway wrote...

firstly the evidence is that the quarians evolved from higher primates, are excessively humanoid by the descriptions from codexes and books claiming that they have lips, teeth, eyes, noses, ears and hair (plus human-like reproductive organs;)). they are also a species gone under evolution almost parallel to ours and the picture just accurately sums it all up
