ok I realize the premium content items from the deluxe PC version  plus all the DLC items do not transfer to Awakening, but is there a way I can start the expansion with my old toon (post coronation), and not be naked?
I'm sure the expansion will carry the choices I made with my character on the Origins setting as well which is why I want to use the post coronation toon and not a new one or a early save version of my same toon.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Cheers.

Do you have a previous save you can import? If you do then just choose that one and equip some other armor.

well, I do have some early saves from my original Origins toon, yes, but really early, since I played the Warden's Keep DLC really early on, so I carried the armor set and weapon for quite a while until I could equip the Dragon armor tossing every other armor or weapons I got on the way.

What concerns me, if I import an early saves, is that it wont carry over the choices I made later in the Origins saga.

thank you for the thought though :)

Other than that though, I don't think there is any way for you not to be naked at the beginning of awakening.

oh well might as well just run naked for a while...

And just a thought for Bioware folk:
For those of us who made a little extra effort to buy the deluxe editions of your games as well as every single DLC that you guys put out there, not letting us keep the goodies from those promos in the expansions, well it's sort of a slap in the face. You may want to consider a patcch to at least provide us (those who had to start the expansion naked) a basic armor set, nothing out of the ordinary, just not to feel like we have to fight with our butts when the first confrontation starts. But trully I do feel slapped in the face.
I will think twice before buying a deluxe edition from now on, or not even consider buying future DLC content items.

Cheers.

Actually I started naked even though I thought that I was being clever and not using any quest DLC armour - no dice. So I had a little cry, got over it, now I am a new character and nicely settled in. One CTD but, no worries so far.

I also started naked, unaware that my gear wouldn't cross over from Warden's Keep (and I foolishly put all my items within the Party Chest too).

So I played for about half an hour within Awakening after getting tired of various companions dieing along with me almost dieing if it wasnt for potions.

So I went back to the last save I did on Origins, took all my items out of the chest and back into my inventory, along with all the equipped armor on all the characters and then imported it into Awakening.

I had to start fresh within Awakening rather then continuing from that 30minutes play, however I did get my items and all that back (other then the Grey Warden armor from Sophia).

Now happily owning all those foes that took down my companions in that 30 minutes :)))

Well since you are on the PC, you should download the following mod. It allows you to have all your DLC stuff in Awakening.

The mod does not appear to be designed for patch 1.03.

What makes you say it doesn't work on 1.03, have you tried it?

EDIT: OP, give it a shot. There are a couple of mods that enable DLC equipment, though I'm not sure what the difference between them is. I'll link you to both

That's a bit strange, all of the items that were in my inventory from Return to Ostagar carried over. I didn't try with the Blood Dragon plate because I find it aesthetically displeasing. :P

Yeah, for some reason the equipment from Return to Ostagar carries over and the rest don't.

I imagine Stone Prisoner doesnt carry over cause the main item was Shale and her crystals. Wardens Keep? No idea.

I think it's a bunch of b.s. that items from official Bioware DA:O DLC do not import into Awakening. I mean, it's one thing for modded equipment not to show up, but this is ridiculous. Someone at Bioware needs to lose their job over this one. I haven't purchased Awakening yet, and this is one of the reasons why. Get your poop in a pile, Bioware.

Items from Warden's Keep don't transfer. However, items from Stone Prisoner and Return to Ostagar do.

Be careful if you import Stone prisoner equipment. Mine caused a nasty bug in the Silverite mines.

Are you sure it was the SP equipment that caused it? What happened?

Well the mod worked like a charm for me even having patch 1.03 running.
It carried all my Equipment from wardens keep, dragon armor and stone prisoner.
I didnt play Return to Ostagar (i finished the game before this came out) so I dont know about that.
Thanks for the tip Leon Elsa =)

As a note, nobody is 100% sure whether this mod causes the problems in the Silverite mines (I've actually had it with and without, so it definitely happens - the mod may exacerbate it, though).

As far as random mod incompatibilities go, though - I'd like to flag up that using the Hiphold mod (makes swords appear at your sides) prevents all armour from showing rune slots.

so what is exactly this bug at the silverite mines?

avoid spoilers though.

Thanks =)
