There have been alot of people saying that the price is too high and from what i've read i agree. It's strange but i haven't seen anyone actually post a price they would be willing to pay knowing the content/play time. I want people's opionions on what they would suggest I pay, having played through it.

I would still pay $40 for it after beating it a couple times. If i was on pc I would of prolly been a bit upset with the price maybe because pc games are normally $10 cheaper then console games. If you could find it for $20-30, I think you would be happy with the content/price ratio.

Judging by what I've seen here and what friends have told me I decided to wait till I can pick it up for about $20, I'm in no real rush as there's plenty of games on my HD and by then they'd hopefully have a patch or two out.

I would have been happy to pick it up for PC for £20 ($30). Fortunately I got it for £15 (incl P&P). Love amazon.

i would have been fine with paying around $30 or so, especially since our EU friends are getting it for around that (and sometimes cheaper)..

For the buggyness of the Steam version, no, it's not worth $40.

Yeah it's a bit odd the pricing for this.

Expansions have traditionally cost between £15-20 over here and it was released for £15 on the PC, a bargain price IMO.

But if you buy it on the PS3 network it's £31, steam is something similar and I'm not sure about 360.

To put that in perspective, Origins itself only cost £25-30. I'm not sure why they decided to hike up the price this time round.

On a side note, I can see a lot of negativity on the boards about this expansion but I can't help but feel that some of it is due to the high price, making it less value for money.

Personally I loved it and it felt priced correctly at £15.

It's a shame though that people are complaining to Bioware who don't actually set the prices.

I got it for like $18. I say that $25 to $30 is reasonable, maybe a touch high.

I know this is off topic but I've got to ask, what the hell kind of pizza joint do you goto that you spend $40 for two people. I mean does it have some sort of oral massage threatment or something? Can pick up a 36" pizza for $25 and that feeds like 8 people.

Thanks to everyone! I decided that i'm not gonna let them rip me off. I'll just keep making characters till they lower the price to at LEAST $30. At least 6/8 of people think that the cost was a bit too high. Now if I only knew when the price cut was coming...

It really depends on how much you like DA. If DA is one of your favorite game ever, then it's better to spent 40$ on a game you like than spending the same amount on something you won't enjoy as much. Awakening might me ''expensive'' content wise compared to DAO but if you really like DAO then get it. If your budget is tight though, you can wait.

The pizza example up above is dumb. Pizza for two cost 20-25$ not 40$.

Pizza for 2 $18-$20
2 beers each  $14
$7 tip to avoid being a loser

Easily $40 dollars.  I can't take my family of four out anywhere for less than $75. And I live in a relatively cheap area.

Why? Because we must discuss the price of DAA in 30,000 different threads? Might as well talk about pizza.

Do people click on threads just to post about how stupid the question is? That logic is even more stupid.

Well: will say it again.

If we get 2 pieces of free DlC (a la Stone Prisoner) down the pike for those who bought it, I think the game's a fair deal.

But, BTW, I hope they're also working on patch 1.04 as we speak, too.

I suppose everybody reacts differently to a price, but I don't feel cheated for buying the game. Money well spent, in my opinion.

I paid £15 and I'm not feeling the slightest bit hard done by. A fine price for what it is.

36" pizza would be the size of a kitchen table!

Pizza, salad, some wine, garlic bread.  Although the truth is $40 means I have leftovers for the  next couple of days... don't eat it all in one sitting :)

Comparing prices of two totally completely different products/services is laughable at best.  I can't believe I see so many people do it and think they are making a good point.  I am not even going to touch what pizza place you are going to that costs $40 for a pizza for two.
