Wow, who spends $40 bucks at a pizza joint? My favorite pizza buffet is like $3.99 per person (all you can eat: salad, dessert, and water included). Wow, if you spend that much just on pizza, I would hate to have your opinion on finances...

Back on topic, I would say $15.00 is the most fair price I can think of for a game this buggy/laggy/glitchy/crappy. If the game had less bugs (and I mean a lot less), I would happily pay $29.99 for it.

IF you are going to pay that much on Pizza for 2 then we can already see how much you value your dollar. Some of us don't make millions you know"gasp" I know crazy thought eh. Lower bracket income people should just be eradicated...

If only I grew up with with a mommie and daddie that bought me everything I wanted.Posted Image

19.99 - 24.99 US for the content and length.

On the other hand knowing there are so many technical flaws(painfully obvious bugs that have no excuse for making their way into a finished product), I can't fully endorse any cost.

Considering I payed $40 for Origins I'm not in any rush to buy Awakening at the same price.

I thought about picking up a copy last week but after seeing the state of mongolian cluster, I'll hold off for a while. Maybe when the patches come out, the price will commensurate with the content/length.

I've heard about this long list of unbearable glitches. Can anyone please list a few of the most annoying/important ones?

P.S. Forty bucks for a pizza for two?!?!?!? wow.

Really it doesn't matter if you are willing to pay the $40 or not. The real question is why are the expansions/DLC priced as high as they are compared to the amount of content they contain. Why is DA:O $50 and has ~60 hours of gameplay when DA:A is $10 less for ~20 hours of gameplay? I would of expected both DLCs to have at least the length of one main area in DA:O, but left both of them disappointed. I realize Bioware products have high quality and I expect many fans use that as a reason why they pay the high price, but the question remains than should DA:O have costed more than? I just don't see why we should pay $10 more than the normal price for an expansion set and I resent EA's attempt to piggyback off of DA:O's success.

I bought the game for $40 and $20 dollars would be a pretty good deal. I think the value is around that much just to get more Dragon age experience. I find the replay value personally to be very low and it didn't motivate me to play the story again more then once unlike DAO. Of course thats more of an opinion but unlike DAO you simply don't have nearly the amount of decisions to make so the story will for the most part play out the same everytime with only one fork in the road before the conclusion.

I know this is off topic but I've got to ask, what the hell kind of pizza joint do you goto that you spend $40 for two people. I mean does it have some sort of oral massage threatment or something? Can pick up a 36" pizza for $25 and that feeds like 8 people.

http://giorgiospizza...s-pizzeria-menu

Pizza, salad, some wine, garlic bread.  Although the truth is $40 means I have leftovers for the  next couple of days... don't eat it all in one sitting :)

Holy hell lol, that's crazy. I'm frivolous as hell with my cash and even I wouldn't pay that much on a pizza dinner unless theres a trip to Italy attached,

36" pizza would be the size of a kitchen table!

Heh, not quite that big but yeah, it's big. Love them little hole in the wall restraunts.

And to the OP: Yeah, uh, sorry for derailing your thread. But look on the bright side, you've now got the best thread on the first page. Pizza and Dragon Age all wrapped into one discussion, life is good.

Who actually paid full RRP?

I picked it up for £17 including P&P, I feel sorry for the PS3 owners who had no choice but to pay full price!

Dragon Age has been one of my favorite games I played in the last 5 years. I replayed it 4 times and tried all the different origin stories which I've never done before with any other game except for Half Life 2. That being said, I paid $40 for the game, there's not way I'm paying that much for an expansion pack. I've got the money easy, it's the principal of the thing.

If the expansion comes down to a reasonable $20 - $25, I'm sure I'll buy it. However, until then, I'll be playing something else.

(Seriously, $40 for a pizza dinner for 2? That's insane. I'd expect to pay that much at a steak house for 2 but pizza??)

I am enjoying Awakening more than I enjoy the average new game that I choose to buy. I fully intend to beat it, probably more than once, whereas most games (even pretty good ones) lose my interest well before then.

Is it as good or as long as Origins? No, not in my opinion. Is it a ripoff? No, not in my opinion. If your opinion is different, so be it; spend your time and money earmarked for entertainment elsewhere. Neither the original nor Awakening is a perfect game - far from it - but they are engaging games that are fun to play and leave you hungry for more, at least if you share my taste in games. I wish the combat mechanics / numerical balance were a bit more of a focus, but imperfections aside it still challenges me in tough fights even with my high level imported mage.

Pizza for 2 $18-$20
2 beers each  $14
$7 tip to avoid being a loser

Easily $40 dollars.  I can't take my family of four out anywhere for less than $75. And I live in a relatively cheap area.

i dont think people are getting this.. i totally agree.. if you get a larg pizza with more than one topping you can easily top $15 for a large, and if u are on site, $7 a piece for a beer though high, is definately possible (unless you consider natural light good beer).. then you factor a tip and tax.. boom theres your $40..

obviously if you have the pizza delivered, you can get it cheaper because you drink your own beer and maybe pay 2.00 for a tip.. but when you eat out.. that is totally reasonable to expect to pay $40..

Returned it back to the store after reading lots of negative posts. I'm not in a hurry so I'll wait to see if the price will be reduced to about $20.

No way, I've spent almost $100 on two at Joe's Stone Crab, I've dropped around $500 at clubs between me and my girl, I have never spent anywhere near $40 at a pizza joint for only two people. That seems crazy to me.

At retry, did you check this thread? Seems like it might have a solid list, haven't gone through it myself.

Those are the ones I have encountered, as far as I remember:

- Sigrun and Justice both jumped to 100 after one gift/dialogue
- One sidequest couldn't be finished, as there weren't enough quest items around
- minor glitch concerning the action bar, where one removed icon still overlapped the skill I put there - was gone after leaving the zone, though

From what I gather in these forums, other people suffer from way more serious bugs, such as numerous crashes to desktop or being left naked. *shrugs*

though i can understand not wanting to purchase a product with bad reviews, personally i would have gone through and installed it.. when i purchased it i new the price i payed and when i played the game, i felt the game was well done and worth the $40.

that being said, i am a bit disappointed that the pricing isnt consistent among the different countries (ive heard EU players paying as little as $20 american for the game).. but other than that, i thought the game was overall really well done.  so my suggestion is dont always go by what you hear..

I paid £16.99 from a legit dealer on eBay and it was worth every penny at that price. If I'd paid £30.00 I wouldn't be so sure, but it took me 13-14 hours to finish and will get another playthrough when they fix all the bugs.

I paid $40 for the game, and it was fortunately much better than I had anticipated it would be. I would have been happier if it had been the industry standard $30, but honestly $40 isn't anything to me anyways.

So, since some people actually prefer to spend a bit more on a quality product instead of going to some cheap buffet joint that serves crap food it is somehow indictative of their finances?

I would much rather spend extra on food made with quality fresh ingredients than eat the garbage served up in buffet joints.

agreed.. but again, you can go to your average pizza place (papa johns, dominos, etc) and still spend that amount assuming you eat in.

There's also laws going into legislation here that will force people to tip, seriously.
