You could probably go back further and find that the whole repairing your keep & outfitting troops has been done many times before NWN2

Crossroad Keep was much more awesome than the Vigil "The Vigil" is an awesome name however). I think Vigil's Keep had a lot of potential that wasn't capitalised on.
Indeed

The whole outfitting of your troops, repairs to the keep was done before in NWN 2, was wondering if any old school gamers out there have noticed this too?
Also, what does being "old school" have to do with anything?

NWN2 is crap, Mask of the Betrayer however is great and one of the greatest RPG expansions I've ever played, hell beats out most full games. Give that a go.

But NWN2 is a good game (and its expansion is even better), so that's not to say that Vigil's Keep is a pile of fecal matter in an objective sense. Only comparatively.

It's tough to go back and play games a few short years ago that had some challenge involved with them. Especially after having played a game that literally spoon feeds you the "I win" button.

Once I win Dragon Age (which I may do if I stop with my incessant re-rolling of characters), I may have to dig out NwN 2 and reinstall for some gnome goodness.

I wasn't turned off by the gameplay but by the weird camera that would go all over the place but not where I want it to be and the unresponsive controls.Sylixe wrote...

I hated that timer crap, I cheated it away because otherwise I wouldn't have finished it.TheMadCat wrote...

Lol, You guys are right, NWN 2 is not old school, bad choice of words on my part.
Don't worry, they had to find something to nitpick about. It's a strong urge.
Also, NWN2 is a better game than DA:O. Better combat system, no level/item scaling; which I value a lot. DAO's advantage is that it has non-linear exploration (to a certain degree), although levels itself are very linear.

I think what they should have done was making the archdemon a minor boss and then have the tewinther imperium be the main boss

The bad camera controls breaks the whole thing for me.
I probably just need to get used to it again, but DA:O just made the controls of the camera, your party, everything so, effortless.
But man, the story in NWN2, it's right up there with BG2 and Mass effect, according to me
