I think it's unfair to be comparing Awakening with NWN2, although i might be slightly biased since i didn't think NWN2 was taht good, and DA to me is like the bible to a christian :P

I do think that crossroad keep was better than vigil's keep, but that was hardly my favorite part of either game anyway. DA is better in every other sense.

The keep thing is very much the same, I must admit. I've played NWN2 + expansions, and I loved every single moment of it (except "Storm of Zehir", what were they thinking?!). I enjoy DA:O and Awakening as much NWN2, though I sometimes long after Gann and my tiefling.

If you mean better as in stupidly easier than i guess you are a winner.  I however enjoy a challenge to a game and some real sense that i might actually lose.

Huh? NWN2 wasn't any harder than DA:O.

Yes, tactically I think the NWN2 OC was mostly easier. I'm a spectacularly bad and lazy strategist, so not the best judge, but I can run through NWN2 on normal more easily than I can DA on casual. (Though NWN2: Storm of Zehir is as difficult if not more so than DA.)

Yeah NWN2 biggest flaw with me was how easy it was, a few parts aside I never even really had to try. At least DA:O had a couple of parts that made me think and plan out a strategy.

Yeah because setting this game on Nightmare and soloing it naked makes it tougher.  Uhm ..no  NWN 2 is well and above harder than this game on the hardest settings by a WIDE margin.  The fact that i don;t need any companions to complete DAO and don't need to upgrade gear or even equip gear is a major flaw.

That was my first thought as I started the expansion. But the game quickly heads down a different road...

"Heads" being the operative word, it seems to peter out long before arriving at any destination.
