I have never played a dwarf so far as to start a romance since i have the same problem as u have..
However, conserning builds, go with what u like most, as it seems u have already some xp with both warrior and rogue.
If u want to stay in a roleplay role however, then go for Warrior in the dwarf noble and Rogue in commoner.
as for talents, since u play a dwarf, as a warrior the 2handed tree is a logical choice together with Beserker and/or Reaver(just look at Oghren...)
as for rogue, just go for DW since that looks best on them, and either take Assasin and 1 of the others depending if u go as an offensive rogue(recommended since u are the main char and thus main target) or a support role(going ranged and taking Bard and Ranger specs)
As for the traps u mentioned, i personally never really used them since there is always the risk of friendly fire with many of them, and placing them takes more time then u normally have in a fight(not to mention all the reagents u need to get to make them..)
i would instead take poisonmaking(with witch u start) and focus on both poisons as well as the grenades u can make, comes in handy if your mage does't have fireball or CoC yet.
also get the glyph tree on whatever mage u take with u, they can be placed easyly and can keep hordes of enemies off your back(glyph of repulsion mainly)
I hope this helps a little
