Making a Thane userbar for the group I lead would be cool, if you could do that.

This thread is about photoshop, and long harangues on character morality now.

Morrigan? A psychopath? She's one of the most pragmatic characters in the entire game.

That's debateable. Her desire to let Redcliffe fall when you need the help of its lord - who, unlike everyone else, has no obligation to lift a finger - and all it would take is one night before Teagan was willing to take you to the Castle in particular just reeks of stupid. And why does she disapprove of 'sure I'll tell your daughter to run if I happen to stumble across her while I'm looting every room in the castle'? It's just delivering a freaking message.

... I'm slightly amused... it's 3.20 AM right here, and I just read psychopath...

... as... Psycopath -- "the Path of the Psycho"...

... time to get som precious sleep.
But, despite my shift as the indiscriminate hater and devil's advocate beeing is *clearly* over for today, the next shift is stupendously delayed.
Bah.
I'll leave the shop for tonight, perhaps I'll admit a bisexual attraction to Zevran at rpgnexus on an alternate account before going to bed... but now I'll quit, well knowing that I've fulfilled all the girls' expectations for a good 8 hours of trolling for today.

(I put in some spelling errors that makes this post annoying to read, too. Too bad I didn't spell being as beeing -- but I didn't have the word in my post. Edit: I managed to put one beeing in there with the annoying gramatical error. Woe is me.)

It's worth noting that even if you don't defile the Ashes and Brother Genitivi tells the world that they're found, the Ashes suddenly disappear.

That's only if you don't slay the dragon who then spirits them away. If you do kill 'Andraste' then people start making pilgrimages there unimpeded, even by the crazy villagers of Haven who don't have to die to make this possible.

*Skimming through this thread and I see this*

Wait if you don't kill the dragon it actually says it took the ashes away?  If that's the case then the dragon really is a protecter of the Ashes right?   Sorry about the questions but I've always killed the dragon for the armour lmao.

I never kill her. LOL I figure someone has to protect that poor woman's final resting place from all the exploiters.

IIRC she thought the battle was futile at that point, so I can kind of see her point.  The chances of Eamon even being alive are slim then.  Luckily the Warden is a miracle worker so it turns out just fine!

I kind of got annoyed with that smith guy too though.  That whole town is useless without the Warden it seems.

I didn't kill her my first playthrough because I was on level six and it would have been suicide and it said Pilgrims tried to visit but the dragon wouldn't let them and finally it just took the ashes and vanished so people thought Genitivi was full of it.

hmmm I always took it as after many attempts to deal with the dragon, the temple was left in ruins and the dragon ultimately just left and the ashes were never found. I didn't see it as she took them just that it was such a ruined mess no one could find them.

But you can ask what happens if Eamon is dead and Teagan said that if Connor was still alive Teagan would help raise him to be the Arl (making him the de facto Arl in the meantime) or if Connor was dead he didn't want to think about it but he would still be the de facto Arl. If Eamon himself wasn't available Teagan was and he wanted you to try to protect the village so if you wanted help from Redliffe, doing what Teagan wanted was the best plan.

I always thought not telling Genitivy about the Urn they wouldn't know where it was and would'nt go looking for it.

At the end the Ashes end up disapearing also.

I think she had written Redcliffe off at that point.  The impression given is that it's a very uphill battle and chances of surviving are slim.  Teagan's support won't matter if you're dead after all.

But the Warden is superman, so it's all good. :)

I didn't even know you could make Genetivi leave (and it didn't occur to me to kill him though when I found out I could I went to an old save and did. That has to be the funniest murder scene I think the game has) when I first played through.

I don't like the Chantry learning about the ashes...just seems wrong to me. Hell if I didn't need Eamon (and to progress the damn game) I WOULDN"T defile them by taking a pinch. For me that's defilement enough.

Oooh, could you make me a userbar?

Sure. It's not like I'm doing anything worthwhile. Just do me a favour and go whine a bit somewhere over how we're not getting patches efter 6 months.

What should be in these userbars, and how long should they be? I've got two sizes, I think. The long one I have in my signature, and one that's like this Image IPB.

Oh, ewww, I have to whine?  Gushing is more my style!  I guess I won't earn my userbar :(

Edit: Holy wall of text, batman!

Gushing? You mean turn on the faucet? Sure, that works too.
I can make you one just out of pity. :P

YAY! Can it be purple and Zevran-y?  Those are two of my favorite things.

If I assign someone to stop Lloyd from getting himself killed by suicidally charging darkspawn (I don't know where he got his 'I'm no warrior and I was just screaming like a girl' from after the battle, he was the most active NPC out there) and running ahead of the burning oil so the knights wouldn't fight in the fire and die then making it through the night with NO casualties is really easy. Even if the Warden wasn't insanely talented, that doesn't really make it sound like there's no hope. Yes, if you leave everyone dies but most of their problems were with equipment and moare so if you do that and recruit some more people, there's no reason you couldn't win. You leaving, of course, really hurts morale.

LOL I know right? He was SO Gunga Din.  I had more trouble keeping him alive than anyone else and usually I just had my PC run up and deal with the mobs beyond the fire.  Stupid party members kept running into the fire (and the knights too).

Zevran has a funny line in that quest area about flaming undeads...

LOL I have trouble getting them to NOT help or at least to NOT run headlong into the throng and into the fire. At least Berwick stays back and shoots his bow.

Well, I suppose he really is just there for his presence to inspire people. And supposedly it does although you'd think SOMEONE would comment on how a GW would be inspiring since an ex-warrior apparently is.

Sylvanaerie, take the scumbag murderer's advice and don't use the fire trap. Of course, by the time he gives the advice, it's too late to back out, but a little metagaming never hurt anyone.

Edit: I often ask myself, "What would Sten do," but fortunately, I never have to ask, "What would Zevran do."  And his advice usually is good.
