I really need to know the difference between these cutscenes.

1) Open the toolset.

2) Open the cutscene palette.

3) Navigate to:  _Followers  -->  Morrigan --> morrigan_main

What is the difference between:

morr_kiss_hm_100441
morr_kiss_hm_100445
morr_kiss_hm_102969
morr_kiss_hm_194883
morr_kiss_95291_hm

All those kissing cutscenes are 9.29 in length. THere doesn't appear to be ANY difference?  I need to modify this part of the game but this is so confusing.  I really need to know if there is any difference here between those cutscenes.

A lot of morrigans kissing cutscenes appear to be EXACTLY the same but with a different cutscene filename.

The list goes on & on. Duplicate kissing scenes? Why didn't they just make one if nearly all of them are the same?

At quick glance a guess would be these scenes are each called from different line in the dialog script -- if you right-click them and check the "referenced by" properties tab they all list morrigan's dialogue file as the one which uses them.

At least one difference would be, some of these are apparently intended to be played in camp while others are to be played when elsewhere (unstaged) But the cutscenes themselves do appear identical, down to their settings. So you might be able to go through the dialog file and replace the original references to these various animations with references to just single animation per player race, perhaps worth a try.

Aaah i see, so staged & unstaged.

What I don't understand is there is a default camera in each cutscene.  Why would they want to rely on using a stage camera?

Guessing again, these cutscenes were done using the "convert line to cutscene" command in the dialogue editor. This basically converts the non-cutscene setup (camera position, characters positions and poses) into a cut-scene, ensuring there's no jarring jump cut in the beginning when the conversation line is selected and the cutscene is activated.
