Updated September 11, 2011. Sam Hulick is now selling two of his unused tracks in FLAC on his website. The first is the Normandy theme aka Of Stars and Dreams, the second the Untitled DLC soundtrack, aka Ghost Ship.

These are all concept or cut soundtracks from ME1/ME2, made by Wall of Sound(twitter), the composers for the games.

These first tracks are by Sam Hulick. His youtube channel is here where you can see all his tracks, not just Mass Effect concepts or cuts. You can buy some of his unused music here.

Galaxy Map - www.youtube.com/watch

Normandy(aka Stars and Dreams) - www.youtube.com/watch

Main Theme(first demo) - www.youtube.com/watch

Main Theme(final draft) - www.youtube.com/watch

Victory - www.youtube.com/watch

Subject Zero - www.youtube.com/watch

Unreleased DLC(aka Ghost Ship) - www.youtube.com/watch

Encounter on Ilos - www.youtube.com/watch

And one more from Sam. What ME3 might have sounded like if he worked on it.

Shepard's Return - samhulick.com/SR.html or www.youtube.com/watch

These next ones are by Jack Wall.

I love Galaxy Map. Not quite as spaced out as the final Uncharted Worlds theme, but it's still great. Normandy and Unreleased DLC theme are really good too. Can't believe none of them have been used yet!

Yeah, this galaxy map tune I like also the most. I've found that already a few weeks ago on a ME preview video and asked here were to get it. :)

YouTube - Mass Effect Mystery Theme

That video is just awesome with the music, shows the mystery and wonder of space and makes me a bit nostalgic for ME1's landscapes. But I do have to say, the lush environment of Zaeed's loyalty mission, Zoria was just spectacular, how right when you land you see a flock of birds flying in the background,

I love those unreleased tunes. They are still so fitting and almost like you hear it and can place them somewhere in the game but strangely its not there.

Wow that music is epic. My favorite is the Unreleased DLC. I am willing to pay Sam Hulick for those songs.

Me too when casey hudson was telling everyone how he was driving around with the C-D of the mass effect soundtrack, i thought he must be really bored, now i can fully comprehend why he was this stuff is truly awesome, and i would definetly purchase a c-d filled with hulicks rough drafts for ME ..

Galaxy Map fits perfectly as a light combat theme, or an uncharted world background. All pieces are fantastic... well, now everyone can dig out the thread I made a while ago and support a full trilogy soundtrack on audio CDs, with all released, concept and unused pieces! Would be awesome, huh?

Oh, and I can't stop myself from complaining about a certain design decision for Mass Effect 2 - why no ambient music for the hub worlds and Normandy?  Sure, Illium, Omega and the Citadel. had a lot of background noise, dialogue, commercial etc., it gave them a feel of liveliness. Mixing that with music could be difficult... but the Normandy?

It's so silent it's unsettling - want some musical background. Yet Tali complained about the SR-1 being too silent, go figure it out...

Great stuff. Galaxy map and Mystery theme sound really atmospheric and miraculous. Heck, If I could choose I'd listen galaxy map concept on SR2 Normandy always.

I love hearing or seeing the evolution of a theme. The one for Subject Zero intrigues me.

Updated with the Ilos theme. Some of you have probably heard it before(it went around a few times on the old forums), but it's there for anyone who hasn't heard it yet. Also by Hulick.

Oh that is disappointing they couldn't find somewhere to put that Ilos theme. I suppose the percussion is rather different compared to all the other music, though. Does remind me just how much the music from Ilos to the confrontation with Saren made me feel like I was on this epic final push to save the galaxy.

Wow I can't believe some of these didn't make it. I would love to see the mystery theme make Mass Effect 3. It's up there with Vigil and the UNC music as the best of the series!

True, this track and the Normandy/mystery theme do clash with the rest of the soundtrack a little. I prefer the one in-game during Ilos myself, as it's more exciting.

These are great, especially "Unreleased DLC".

I really wish I could get a-hold of Zaeed's theme though.

Bump. Hopefully there are some newly registered users who'd like to hear these. Two more concepts by Jack Wall in the first post.
