My xbox recently died, so I ended up getting a refurbished one to replace the dead one. However now whenever I try to play Dragon Age Origins on it or even Awakening now both freeze up after trying to load into a game from the character creator or importer.

I've installed the 1.03 patch, I've uninstalled the 1.03 patch and still get the same results. I also did a license migration from the old system to the new one so I could still make use of my DLC and such (As it's a new system, but the old system's hard drive).

Anyone have a clue as to what could be the problem or anything I can possibly try to get either or both games working again? I lack access to another person's xbox so I can't tell if it's on the part of the refurbished system or if it's a problem with the discs as I've never had a problem with the Origins disc before.
