I'm considering installing ME2 on my 360s hard drive. However, I don't want to take up all that space unless there is a substantial reduction in loading times.
I've only got the 360 Pro model, and I've downloaded a bunch of RockBand tracks, so it's not like I'm swimming in extra space.
I enjoy the challenge of playing on tougher difficulties, but having to sit through a 20-second reload every time I get killed makes me want to leave it on Veteran.
What I'd like to know is if installing this two-disc beast will result in a noticable difference in load times. I'd appreciate any feedback.
HDD install = reduced load times?

My load times are pretty quick, still have to swap the disc though.

Can't you just install both discs?

Yes, you can, but you still have to swap discs.
But if their both installed on the console, how do you swap? If they've been installed, you don't need the disc anymore.

There's your misunderstanding. When you install, it loads the data from the hard disc to speed up load times, but it still requires you to have the game disc in the drive if you want to play. I assume it's to keep people from just buying a game and then letting all their friends install it to play.

Oh, I get it. Thanks for clearing that up.

the load times are actually ridiculous, HD installed or not.
Bioware needs to be considerate in ME3 by putting all the squad members of the normandy on the same floor, that way I dont have to constantly switch floors to chat with the members to get loyalty quests, then go back to the galaxy map.
It literally wastes so much time its unbelievable.

well funny enough, after the Xbox Update and the Kasumi DLC, the load times on my game has greatly sped up, you know how when its loading and your looking at the ships schematics, imagine you pressed fast forward on a VCR.....thats how the load times are for me now lol

Huh, that's interesting. I figured I'd probably fork over the cash for the DLC before my next playthrough... reduced load times would be an added bonus.
