He're the problem: I bought the regular edition of ME2 but did not receive any sort of card with a redeem code for the DLC. My game is registered on this account, which means it's legit, so don't ask me if it's a legit copy. And it isn't second hand either. Bought it from my local mall, sealed and all that. And no, I did not lose the card. Can anyone help me with this? I want that DLC, I did pay for the game after all.

Does your game box have a blerb on the back of it that tells you this game box has the Cerberus Network redeemable code?

Also you paid for the game, not the DLC. You are entitled to nothing.

Isn't the CN card in every new copy of the game?

I figured it would be in every game also but it could be a limited time promotional code which is no longer available.

Yes, it has a small box with text about how the copy contains a unique code that offers access to the Cerberus Network. Only it's in Romanian, since I live in Romania.

"Also you paid for the game, not the DLC. You are entitled to nothing."

As I understand it, there's free DLC that you can redeem via the Cerberus Network if you bought a new copy of ME2. Which I did. So I'd say I'm entitled to that.

The best thing to do is return the copy you have for a different one. Chances are depending on the retailer  they may not exchange the game for you because the promotional offer wasn't there and they could assume you already usde/have taken it.

I only meant that the CN code was and is a promotional item and you bought the game not the code.

Already tried returning it. They wouldn't take it back. I tried asking one of the guys working there if he could check other copies to see if others have this card. Obviously, he refused.

Email EA or Biowares Customer Service see if they can't help you. You may ultimatly wind up having to spend 15$ on Bioware points.

That's probably what I'm going to end up doing (emailing EA or Bioware I mean). I'm not spending any more money on ME2 however.

The first step would be to contact BioWare and or EA and explain your side of the story and see if anyone is able to help you. I've learned to open anything that contains special codes or items at the counter when i buy it. I've been taken before when I bought Halo 3 special edition from Circuit City when they were going out of business. Opened the package to find everything was covered with a sticky residue and all the discs were scratched, no manuals or extra anything. If i had opened it at the counter, I would have recieved a refund with no problem.

I just sent an e-mail to EA customer support. Hope they have an answer for this. Jewnbear, you're quite right about opening stuff like this at the counter, this little problem here would have been avoided that way. I'll be sure to do so next time.

So what is the outcome of this? I bought ME2 in the EA classics series. On the box it says clearly that "inside is an activation code for Cerberus network". I open the box, and there is no code! I thought it was the same as xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx format game registration code, but it is obviuously not. I read there are several users with the same problem. They bought a game-box which should contain an activation code for Cerberus and there is none! What is going on!? Dos EA support read this forum?

No, EA support does not read this forum, as it is not an EA forum.

This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PC to assist each other with technical questions. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here.

Contact EA.

I bought ME2 classic today, As with all these other guys there was only the game serial and no 16 digit code for cerberus. EA tech support helped me out and gave me one but what a problem!

I had the same problem with the PS3-version. Says it should include codes to download the DLC's, but they're nowhere to be found. I was told by the support that "We also want to remind you that you can buy them on PSN". Exactly! Thats why I contacted you guys on the supportdesk; To be told that I have to buy them when they're supposed to be free...
