Once the new patch comes out I'll definitely go through Awakening one more time. Its sad- I've played through Origins probably 5 times yet Awakening I played once and really didn't even feel like going through again afterward, even knowing I missed a bunch of personal quests and such.

I trust the main problem was we knew there wouldn't be continuation after Awakening...

When I was playing Origins I knew we would have further adventures... Therefore I wanted to make the best possible playtrough, in order to have the best possible character for future adventures...
I have been able to replay the same playtrough for the same character even 4 times, only to be able to improve her. Everytime I discovered something new or that I missed, I started all over again

Other players liked the idea to have many characters with different backgrounds and in-game decisions to carry on in future games... But with Awakening all this enthusiasm died.. Who cares about the content you eventually missed if you know that, no matter what you do, you won't have a future?

Having a companion dead or alive at the end of the game, another one which is or is not a Grey Warden,... it doesn't really make any difference, if not for the game itself...

We don't know what Bioware has in store for us in the future. So far they've neither confirmed nor denied that Awakening is the end for our Warden(s).

Lack of epilogue save doesn't mean anything since there aren't any real choices in Awakening that would carry over (apart from killing/sparing the Architect maybe).

Best we can do is wait and see what comes.

Yes, we don't know it, but I am ready to bet that in case there will be continuation for our Warden, it will not be by loading a save from Awakening

My feeling is that Awakening is a self-finished adventure, therefore whatever you can do there, and however you finish that game it won't have any consequence for future games... Here is the reason why I don't have the need to play and replay it over again..except now for those letters.....

Yeah, I'd imagine should DA2 allow us to import our Warden it would likely be from Origins and not Awakening. Because choices wise, there is only the one really big choice in Awakening and they could probably canonize that if they wanted. Even with the other Awakening companions, sure most can possibly die at Vigil's Keep or not be recruited, but their possible deaths are mostly vaguely detailed in the epilogues.



I wouldn't be surprised if we see certain companions just sort of show up anyway in DA2, sort of like how BG2 handled things.
