I would like to say if any kind soul could put those letters into a mod, I would be really glad because it really feel odd to not have any news about them.

i fail to understand why these letters were not included. they are there, the person is stationed to give letters to the warden commander. why do we not get letters. a letter from Zevran would have shut me up about so much that i took issue with, a letter, a comment, an acknowledgment of the romance. and in an even odder twist, my male elf rogue got called "love" from Alistair, and a kiss? O_o i'd prefer a letter from Zev, you know, the one i actually romanced, the one who is suppose to love me etc etc etc... granted, the epilogue did a good job of mentioning the romance, but the letters are there!

Lack of time I suppose. I for one would have preferred waiting more for Awakeninbg and having a better finish than having a flawed extension only a few months after the game release.

i would have much preferred waiting a bit of extra time for a more polished and finished game with more care given to the players choices from Orgins.

Awakenings just feels rushed, from start to finish.

Why do I see people mentioning DAO 2 at this point? Check this trend:

BG 1 & 2 had 1 expansion each.

NWN 1 & 2 had 2 expansions.

It follows that DAO will have at least 2 expansions.



I too am miffed about this letter issue. No excuse Bioware. If it were a bug I'm sure the devs would be in the process of a patch sooner or later and that someone would mention this being yet another Awakening bug. However no news from Bioware. And forget the saying. No news is NOT good news when one is EXPECTING news.

Apparently the VA who did Leliana pretty much leaked out that there is a DLC involving Leliana coming at some point. If true it will be interesting to see exactly what it pertains to, I guess another Shale or maybe a side quest if sorts. Kind of wierd that they want to bring an old character back though all things considered.

Oh sure, it's a brilliant move no doubt, ca-ching ca-ching.

It's just funny, wierd, and hypocritical though going back to the various reasons as to why there were so few cameos or why they opted for new companions. Yet, here we are. I understand people are excited and eager and admitingly I'm interested to see what they're doing here. But it feels a little dirty I guess, or maybe that's just me.

Dunno guy. Seems Zevran is popular with the ladies, and Leliana with the men. (Heterosexual ones, anyway.) 

Oh sure. Many of the gal gamers are Alistair fans, too, guess it depends on whether they like the good boys or the bad boys. 

As for me, well, I tried to win Morrigan's heart on one playthrough. But we all know how that turns out? Or at least has, so far. 

So from that point forward, I tried to win Leliana's heart. First as a male, and then, bonus, as a (bi) female! (OK, I really played my female char to marry Alistair & become Queen, but I couldn't help a bit of flirting with Leli.) 

Come on -- she's cute, she has that lovely French voice, she sings, she's a bad girl gone good, and she has that mixture of vulnerability and neediness that just pulls the heartstrings. Did she really love you? Well in the ending I never got she'll "Romeo & Juliet" herself over you. Now that's devotion. 

OK. So she's a religious nut, a little bit naive for someone with a past as a con artist (or is that still con), not exactly a rocket scientist, and a little bit too valley-girl materialistic with the shopping and the shoes. And she's harder to bed than Morrigan, but once you can get her in the sack, she returns eagerly.

Yes I have a real girlfriend and am not living in Mom's basement, but yes, as I think a somewhat normal guy, I enjoy the romance aspect of these games. It's part of the fun of getting lost in that other world.

Sure, Lel is the quintessential sweet girl and overall is a pretty interesting character, great background and develops nicely. Personally I found her much more appealing than the stuck up know it all .

From the description of the mod, it seems to me that he wrote a new letter from Leliana, rather than using the cut content... or am I wrong?

AFAICT, every Awakening "mod" to date is just stuff in the form of "put this in your override folder". 

However, to make DAzips, that will mod Awakening (and can be installed/uninstalled by ModManager without manually touching the override folder etc.), they need to update the Toolset.

Anyway, to reiterate, I think the presence of the private who you can always ask if there are new letters for you (and yet she rarely ever has any or just gives you quests) is that at one point I suspect this was going to be a larger portion of the game (i.e. you getting letters from your old companions or maybe other people back over in the Origins portion of Ferelden) but probably underwent "feature cut".
