From what I've seen Leliana is for some reason (I'll never get why) extremley popular. Every poll I've seen has her at the top. Everyother thread seems to be dedicated to Leliana. And frankly the people have spoken.
She's a quirky redheaded bisexual bard with a French accent and is a rogue. What's not to like? <3

They haven't commented on it. I have a hunch it might be one of the many bugs in the game.
I don't think so, they've had no problems pointing out if something is a bug or not. The silence leads me to assume it was cut for whatever reason, perhaps it contradicts their future plans or something such as this rumored Leliana DLC.

I would like to say if any kind soul could put those letters into a mod, I would be really glad because it really feel odd to not have any news about them.
Someone did. I just saw this a couple days ago.

Thanks for the link, I will still download it, it's a shame that is Bioware fans who fix the game.

Oh great... now I can't wait to get back to Denerim to hear all about her meeting with the Grand Cleric
Reminds me why half my characters end up dead.Hmm... now that you mentioned Morrigan.... they could've just made something with the ring. Show it glowing on your finger or something. But they couldn't even do the letters right, so I think I'm asking too much.Brockololly wrote...
So there isn't any Morrigan letter hidden in there? I imagine it would probably either be a request for child support or a restraining order against my Warden...
at the end of it if you romanced her it will show your charater going after her

Her accent is delicious, that's for sure.
Don't forget her cute giggle. When she giggled after Schoomples snuffled her pretty much bumped her up to the top of my list

Probably cut because it is a rather cheap artificial hollow way to make a connection with the original game. Same as the messages you get in Mass Effect 2 about things you did in ME 1: felt kinda lame. I'm glad it was cut.
So it's better to just get no mention of them whatsoever untill the epilogue? It was like "Hey you, remember that really cute Orlesian bard chick you loved so much in Origins? Well here's a half-assed mention of her." THAT was hollow.

I don't understand why something like this was cut. These little things are what really adds immersion to a game, and it's kinda sad that it was cut from Awakening.
It was cut because some fans would go crazy if there was romance for zevran a what's her face I can never spell her name right or close to what it is for that matter I should work on that anyways they'd get mad because there can't be any with Morrigan, atleast that's what I think. It's not as bad as what happend to ME1 LIs. They got seriously sidelined to the point of there not being a reason to continue the romance. I think it was to not alienate the new players but while trying do that BW sort of screwed the original players.

She never shuts up about the maker. I might like her character more if she'd talk about something other than that. But I'm not a huge fan of any LI's in DAO. Morrigan is interesting but well the whole demon baby thing. I don't want a crypod much less a crypod that's also a demon.

I think that, as well. That could have been easily fixed, though, by having one of your companions find one of Morrigan's belongings... have the ring glow faintly at the end of the game.
Bah.

I guess that's just personal taste. I never romanced Leliana, but I really liked her views on religion. She wasn't dedicated to the written rules, but more understood the true morals and meanings behind them.

So THAT'S why they went with the new crappy dialouge system? Cutting costs. Holmes you've done it again. And I guess I'm the only one who actualy LIKED the camp system. Corinne Kempa's site (voice actress for Leliana) said that she'd be appearing in some new Awakening DLC in April. That probably just means they're still making it but my guess is that the DLC is to rectify the letters problem.Lucy_Glitter wrote...

This would have assuaged quite a bit of my annoyance with Awakenings. A letter explaining why I am entering battle without my bound-for-life war dog would have been nice, too, but I guess they were too busy "fixing" the "broken" dialog system.
Apart from having to go back to the same old camp everytime, I liked the old one? The new one is just cutting costs.
Dog probably "died" somehow and they will never explain why.
As for Morrigan, I can imagine we will see her story very soon...

I'll defend Bioware on this one seeing as the fact that they were tight on time. Yes, in this case time is a valid excuse as they come. What isn't excusable, was the crappy convo system..... I've said that way too many times...Stoomkal wrote...

Maybe because the letters make references to what Zevran and Leiliana have been doing... Storylines they don't want to commit to at the moment.
...
This was the opinion in the other thread on this topic... and it is a load of BS.
Hopeful BS, though.
There is *NO* plan. There is *NO* continuity.
It is like saying whatever we do to the Architect will have an impact on the next game.
It won't...
Think about it:
Exactly how much of your *real* decisions carried over? The broadest ones. Nothing specific. Even the vital and important aspects were not. Even the decisions in the slides were not.
The choices you made at the coronation? Nope. Your romance? Nope. Teryn of Gwaren? Nope. Statue in the courtyard? Nope. Freeing the Circle of Magi? Nope. Wynnes actual fate? Nope.
About the best is the King/Queen and Bhelen. That is it. Oh... Warden's Keep gets a mention.
Wow.
They were trying to give the illusion of choices carrying over, but I doubt they really gave a toss about it.
Anyone saying that they have an ultimate plan involving your love interest, and that is why they were not mentioned, is really fooling themselves.
I would be suprised if anything in Awakening is mentioned in any hypothetical sequel. Maybe "the keep fell" and that is it.
They have pretty much screwed us for continuity when you really examine what they have left us.
The letters would have been.... nice.... *sniff*
No... No... I am not bitter...

they'll patch it in, no problem. I'm still waiting for some "restoration project" which has been tradition for every Bioware, Black Isle and Obsidian game ever, except Mass Effect. and KOTORs was lost due to server down.
I'd also be content with a Big World Project like mega-mod installer for Dragon Age in some years.
