I just bought a new graphic card (5870) and have had some trouble lately, I'm guessing it's because the game installed under another graphic card (8800gt).
So my plan is to reinstall the game. How do I properly back up my project files? I have the level files saved, but are there more things I must do?
How do you move these projects around anyway? (If more people are working on something)

I haven't done this before, But I believe you want to use the builder to builder export option. You can get some info on it here http://social.biowar...lder_to_builder. Hope that helps. Goodluck!

Yes, Builder-to-Builder is a reliable method.
Alternatively, you can back up your data base using DAToolchest or similar.
That's simpler, but not so useful for sharing with other people.
Either way, bear in mind that your art and 2DA resources are not in the data base, so any source files you've created need to be backed up manually (as you've already done with the levels).
